And that automatic tuner On that LP Jr is garbage, no wonder everybody hates it. It does get the guitar in tune, but takes twice as long as if I did myself. In fact, one of the reasons I don't pick it up more is because I don't have the patience to wait for it. Otherwise it's an unbelievably fun guitar to play.

My favorite part of the laborious restringing process on the robotuner is when the battery dies halfway through and I get to take a 2 hour break.

I really like the Tronical tuner otherwise (I passed on buying a 2018 HP recently because homeboy removed the auto-tuner, replaced it with Grovers, but no longer has the robotuner to include. No gracias.) but restringing isn't the reason for the season.

Vintage-style split shaft tuners solve that problem.

Yeah, I got some of those to replace the shitty trapezoid tuners in a cheapo Squier and I really like them. I would get those again.

For the record, I was just talking about the old school handle thing with a screw in it, not an electronic gizmo. The poors can't afford that shit. But I need to wind fast to get the wind set right.

My bad. It was late, and I was bleeding.

I just thought you might have been replacing your amp strings.

I would have, but I couldn't find my tubewinder.

To AUTFs point, it’s all the same people in both threads anyhow. Same with the pedals.

Land and expand.  Long game, this becomes a message board mostly to talk about guitar shit.  Special subforum for drummers.

Lol.  Then I'll step aside and get out the way of your empire creation my friend.

I, for one, welcome our new Celery guitar overlord.

Yet there's no bass thread yet. Bass players are always late.

They're kind of a subcategory of guitars.  Not sure we can get enough play to keep a whole thread active.

We tried one the old board, then AUTF ran off that DilloPad fucker.

We could just set it off in a dark corner somewhere where no one can see it.

That’s what I use. And I only recently realized that the little notch on it is used to pull the pegs out for changing acoustic strings.

The new amp has arrived.

Also, this did too.

This gon be good.

Looking forward to them impressions.
This.

The Tower of Power is complete.

The Alpha (JTM45) and the Omega (Astoria).  The amp that started it all (and still a wonder) and the amps that contain everything Marshall learned in the intervening 60 years.

I added a THD Hot Plate to the Twin Reverb, too, because I don't play in a stadium.  (The Twin and the Fenders on the right are spaced out a bit more since this photo.)

I'm running out of room, fam.

the last thing on my list is to move the Super Champ into my son's room, and replace it with a Deluxe of some flavor.  Turns out Sweetwater had some Stage 2 Rivera models made of the Custom Deluxe but are currently and indefinitely unavailable.  They come up from time to time on Reverb, but at collector pricing.  It'd be nice to cap the collection off with something like that. Otherwise, maybe an Alessandro or even a stock Custom. It probably depends on how good a deal I find on one or the other the quickest.

Then I'm done!

Maybe.

Do you have a custom switcher that will let you run all of those at the same time?

I'm dying over here.

Still no impressions on that Princeton?

I had it shipped to my buddy's place (the guy who had to put down his dog). I'll be playing it next weekend.

He also said the Barber Gain Changer was awesome and literally bought his own today.

^^^ Yes. He said it's badass and that running it with his extension cab (2x10) takes it up to another level of glory.

Sounds like the makings of a Twisted Sister-esque video.

South Austin Guitar Center has a Princeton RI for $500 and a Princeton Custom for $600.  That RI is a killer deal.

Where are these reissues made?

They aren't on the website. Either somebody snapped them up, or they haven't been listed yet.

Edited by DougO

They were both there as of 2 hours ago. Might be very new arrivals.

Probably haven't been listed, yet. They have to wait 30 days to make sure they aren't stolen. Sometimes they wait to list.

Need to keep this pic handy and accidentally-on-purpose make sure my wife sees it around the time of my next purchase.

Or or the opening line to a 80's metal band verse..

In fact, can I steal it CM?

Hmm.  I probably won’t buy the Princeton since I’m actively saving for other things (honeymoon not guitars :,( ), but tempting.

you have my blessing autf

They had one listed in Houston, but when I clicked on it "page no longer existed."

My buddy found an extension cab with a 12" Celestion Creamback for $95 on Craigslist. I'm thinking either get the cabinet re-covered in something cool or build a new one entirely. It's just particleboard or cheap plywood. $95 was an ok deal for just the speaker tho.

Imma try to trade the Forklift for it.

@BoomMF How do you like the Blues JR Tweed?  I'm a long way from buying anything but I'd like to get a low wattage amp for playing in the house.

I believe the blues jr is pretty universally loved around here
