Based on the tweet below I have a feeling we're going to see a lot more of this Arky in our future.

Which is ironical since Cotton loves him some criminal prosecution.

I probably oppose that bill too, because I suspect it's pandering by criminal law.

Well to be fair....

Most terrorists and traffickers appear to be Republicans who are in Congress

I guess there will be a lot of acting US attorneys

What the fuck is this supposed to accomplish?  Nothing, I guess, which is probably the point.

Of course Cornyn is incapable of recognizing satire.  He is both tone deaf and really fucking stupid.  People would notice more, except that the other senator from his state is one of the most widely disliked people in DC.

edit:  yeah, I know it's the Cotton thread, and Cotton might have been a more contentious asshole at this hearing, but Cornyn was dumber.

Did he give a reason for this? Other than being a cocksucker for sport as usual?

This seems exceedingly arbitrary and petty even by congressional R standards.

It's really depressing that we have those two assholes representing us in the Senate. Sometimes I hate this state.

He looks like a constipated pencil.

Senate Intelligence Committee member, Tom Cotton, ladies and gentlemen!

You know damn well one of the biggest reasons why trump was interested was bc of how big he thinks it is bc map projection

"I'm not here to speak on behalf of Donald Trump."

Um he's not asking you to, goober.

Tell me your own opinion on the president’s comments.

I don’t speak for him. If you want to know about his comments, ask him.

no, I want to know what you think about what he said.

Arkansans want me to tell you that Putin is bad and that’s what I’m here to do. Putin is bad.

He should have said "George, Donald Trump's approval rating is like 500% in Arkansas so how about we move on to something else?". Just come out and say it.

It is fascinating  pathetic that he couldn't even utter the words, "I don't agree with his comments".

What...show that your values and principles run counter to dotard's? And risk being censured and thrown off of committees by the RNC?

It’s gotta suck to realize that the Georgia Gump and QED Queen have bigger balls than yourself(Cotton).

I didn't read this thread originally. Sorry I missed it.

Isn't this just another front opened to undermine the United States government?

It looks like hooliganism in a coat and tie. (See Gym Jordan for the other version.) I hadn't foreseen the erosion of civil discourse leading to this.

I suppose civility is assumed in a civil society. Attack and diminish that rock foundation, and you replace it with what?

The GQP, that's what. A hostile band of idiots led by degenerates claiming to save the very thing they destroy.

I edge toward a cold murderousness that I frankly never knew was in me. Maybe it's actual patriotism. Who knows anymore?

Yeah, plus there is no way this country would elect a politician from Arkansas to be President….. unless he plays the saxophone.

One thing about the GOP, never, ever, ever underestimate the gutlessness of that group of white men.

If that were to happen 30% would welcome our new Russian overlords. Closer to 50% if the Russians promise to own the libs.

This guy is way too conservative. I’m not worried about him being president someday. He can’t win an election outside of bumfuck Arkansas.

he also looks like some of the men who used to be prominent members of the nazi party in the 1940’s. Total nazi vibes from cotton.

“Tom Cotton” just sounds like an old-timey backwoods nickname for the devil. You know, like a half-blind delta blues man would sing about walking a lonely road by moonlight to sell his soul to old Tom Cotton. Or it would be mentioned as an alias for some shadowy Stephen King character. “Some called him Flagg, but he went by many names over the years. Old Scratch. The Man in the Shadows. Tom Cotton.”
