Yeah if you assumed 110 players a year * 131 years of football and assume that nobody ever played more than 1 year you would have 14,410 players. Mix in transfers, attrition, leaving early, etc I'd imagine that number to be closer to 5,000.

August 1, 20241 yr Schefter just said they're bringing Mongo's jacket and bust to his house on Saturday. I think it's after the stuff in Canton but not sure
August 2, 20241 yr Awesome tribute. So pumped that he is finally getting the recognition he earned. Hate that he’s in such poor physical health, but happy that he’s lived to see it. Steve McMichael is one tough sonofabitch, on and off the field. Hook ‘em, Mongo!

August 4, 20241 yr Great honor for Mongo. Awesome seeing him getting so much love and respect from nfl community and city of Chicago. Vastly underrated nfl nose tackle
August 4, 20241 yr Cool to see his sister in that picture. We used to hang with a lot of the same folks and see each other a lot. I know the last few years has been stressful on her.
August 4, 20241 yr If mcmichael had been healthy, it would have been a heeeelllllllllllllll of a party in canton
August 4, 20241 yr Man, those clips of him on the field are a big time flashback. Between his eyes and Singletary's I don't know how opposing QBs didn't just shit themselves before the snap. What a defense.

According to a few documentaries on them opposing QB’s would be almost crying most games when they started talking shit to them and taunting them. Even though most of their hits were legal, McMahon’s bodyslam injury and other cheap hits were retaliation for the Bear’s defense’s abuse of quarterbacks.
August 4, 20241 yr What a character....Congrats Mongo! edit : Pisses off the worst ump in MLB 🤣. Jim Belushi would be perfect as him in a movie. Hook 'Em Bam Bam 🤘 Edited August 4, 20241 yr by BillyGoatHill

August 4, 20241 yr I know nothing about this insidious disease other than the obvious devastion it inflicts on its victims. I was amazed to see that OJ Brigance and Steve Gleason are still alive after ALS diagnoses in 2007 and 2011 respectively.
