Thanks. I have been on the boards since 1997 when I was a student at Texas. We've spent decades as fans and board patrons feeling powerless to create any real change. The Internet, social media,

I work closely with a certain previously committed 5 star QB's father (hint: its Quinn Ewers, for those who haven't been following recruiting closely like I have) and chatted with him a bit this after

How good is he? His rankings isn’t he a low 4? Someone tell me what he’s actually amazing please.

He's 6'6" and somehow still just filthy athletic. Could be a truly unique athlete.

Mccoullough was one of the ones that the $9.95ers said would be impacted by the Ewers commitment. He’s been Fong’d to tOSU with a 7. Interesting.

Rivals is counting down 2022 5*s and Quinn jumps in at 6. Dewberry the only other Texan so far. WR Luther Burden of St. Louis also makes it, we have offered but not apparently in play at the moment.

I am 99% sure they are going to slot another QB ahead of Ewers. All of the Rivals folks cite an awkward throwing motion. Not to be the kool-aid man, but it's the same little hitch you see from Mahomes, and not an issue worth slotting him behind any other QB in the class. Rivals gonna Rivals.

Isn’t fat Ketch aligned with Rivals? That would explain his comments about Ewers. He actually thinks Rivals is worth reading and paying $9.95 for.

Think he’s the kind of guy where once you define his position he’s going to be a freak.

And I as well. I've done the math, and I believe we can take 1 commitment every day between now and NSD 2022 without running into trouble with 85- or 25-scholarship limits. Don't check my match.

Ball skills and quickness of a 4* safety. If his body lets him, he’ll be a hell of a linebacker. If not, Joey Ossai starter kit. Dad is an nfl RB coach.

He just seems fickle to me. The only downside in taking his commitment today is whether you’ll keep it or not. Risk worth taking imo.

Edit to add: LB like Isaiah Simmons/overshown. Not Jack, though he may grow into that.

CTH RTing Denver Harris’ visit, Evan Stewart’s offer, and Sylla’s Ewers reaction.

Someone asked earlier today about Ernest Cooper. I hadn’t known anything about him, Hamilton says it’s Stanford right now but Texas is all in.

stafford looked better as a sophomore.

Roach says buzz is still Ohio State, if he is indeed committing tomorrow. Though he admitted that would not be shocking the world.

Did you carry the one? I don't think you carried the one...

Stafford is classic HP. Too much cake and struggles in a meritocracy.

So I seem to recall this kid being thought of as *the* WR for this class about this time last year. Being ranked the 76th best player in the country is hardly an insult, but what's the deal here? Did he somewhat disappoint or was it just that a few other guys from in-state had bigger/better years?

Or is my memory just failing me and he was behind a few other TX WR's all along?

I thought Burton was always the "one" for this class

Burton and Stewart are 1a and 1b IMO. Winfield is right behind them

This is what I thought too but I’ll be honest Winfield was always kind of an afterthought to me, figured he was OU bound, pre Ewers.

I know some of the vaginas will bring up 2021 OL and 2017 LB class but early out look on WR class is insane. Somewhat realistic chance we end up with:

Caleb Burton 5* 11th overall

Evan Stewart 5* 34th

Armani Winfield 4* 76th

Brennon Thompson 4* 78th

Phaizon Wilson 4* 245th

What am I looking at? I’m old as shit - explain it to me like I’m an 8 year old.

Roach also made the comment “I'm circling some more picks. Might have to put together a Crystal Ballin for tomorrow.”

Instagram is a social media app designed solely for the sake of vanity, on this occasion Quinn Ewers decided to post this picture of his dream class for 2022 for Texas which includes many big names that we would love to have in this class

Not sure if serious ... but if you are -

- It says "Dream class on offense" and has a bunch of players on a picture of Bevo

- Campbell

- Banks

- Early

- Burton

_ Stewart

- Wilson

- Green

- Blue

- Ewers in the middle

(Edit:  Carl texted me and said they were all woos.  Every one of them.)

So this was posted by Quinn - that’s the bit of info I was missing. Thanks.

Maybe I’m also too old for instagram but I don’t see it posted on Ewers ig account. Last thing he shows posted is a wiltfong video.

Oh okay. Thanks. No clue what the story feature is or how to access it. Would be a great haul. Kids already got his recruiting hat on.

To be clear, it was originally posted by some Longhorn fan account. Quinn just shared it approvingly.

I would still love to see what Yurcich could do with Thompson but I totally get your point.

Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not shitting on Thompson’ at all. Love to have him. And we need WR bodies.
