May 20, 20214 yr Are we sure there isn't a way that both these teams can miss the playoffs? Has that been verified?

Username checks out. But - just for shits and giggles - if it actually is the highest rated game and Lakers/Nets isn't the Finals I'll venmo you $50. Edited May 20, 20214 yr by ztejas

May 20, 20214 yr I like how they say "they HAVE to keep LeBron under 30 minutes tonight" to set up some stupid talking point about how incredible he is when he winds up playing 38 minutes in a close win.
May 20, 20214 yr No fucking way W's are hanging with this team for 48. Curry may be amazing but it's just too easy to take him out of games with the lack of scoring options GS has.
May 20, 20214 yr Draymond controlling the game in the first quarter. He's an artist. Just gotta shut up and let stuff go.
May 20, 20214 yr LeBron is a shell of himself right now. They can't afford to have him play on this ankle again tomorrow night. Needs to dig deep and do some GOAT shit. Someone show him some Zeke highlights from his ankle game.

May 20, 20214 yr The Lakers are just so damn big, I assume they will eventually take over. But this has been fun so far.
May 20, 20214 yr Just now, ztejas said: Also how much are all the Lakers in the Finals future bettors sweating right now? 😂 Meh, they'll just convince themselves that Utah is a better matchup for them than Phoenix.
May 20, 20214 yr As stated that's a win for GSW. Steph and Draymond checking back in. I have to think AD is going to go hard at Draymond.

May 20, 20214 yr The last athlete that truly made me shake my head the way I do when I watch Steph was... Barry Sanders. That's the only thing I can compare it to. Just mind bending.
May 20, 20214 yr So, I’m off lakers in the finals. I mean- it could happen I guess but they look unhealthy, unhealthy and just overall shitty.
May 20, 20214 yr Dude is fucking amazing, and with defenses trying like hell to stop him. It's just fun to watch no matter what team you're a fan of

They looked shitty in the bubble last year and lost to Portland in their first playoff game with an embarrassing effort. Health is obviously a different animal, but damn it's hard to count out LeBron.

This, and not to mention all the rust. I heard today the odds makers had LA favored and found that a little curious. I wouldn't have bet any of my money on the Lakers
May 20, 20214 yr Author Maybe the Lakers turn it around, but you have to laugh at all of the teams in the West falling over themselves to be on the opposite side of the bracket.
May 20, 20214 yr Still a huge longshot but I took Lakers at +900 to lose the next two and miss the tourney. I feel like they could easily lose twice due to rust/chemistry. But if they don't, and find themselves in a 7 game series, I think they skate into the Finals.

This much I agree with. Fucking pathetic. If you think they're so good and you have Finals' aspirations, you'll have to play them anyway. Might as well draw them early before they figure out their chemistry and rotations.

The Nets are the best team on paper in the East, but they treated the regular season like the preseason, so they may have chemistry issues. I don’t trust the Sixers, Bucks, Jazz, or Suns. I guess that leaves the Clippers??? They’re worse than last year. Might be the year to toss some cash on a long shot.
May 20, 20214 yr Author Warriors are just pissing away possessions and have put the Lakers in the bonus.
