I think this is the match England dominate and win easy,, like 3-0, then get overconfident and lose to the Danes as Eriksen looks on from heaven.

Sancho - good start. But how the fuck does Gerth not have Grealish starting?!?!? What in the actual fuck?!?!

Southgate needs to play Mount and Grealish together. Those two are also most likely to get/keep Captain Harry going.

If Grealish started from game 1, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Harry already have the golden boot locked up.

So Ukraine's strategy to park the bus from the jump probably isn't going to work

To say Ukraine plays a defensive style of soccer seems like a massive understatement.  Must come from all those centuries of being trampled over.

Saka is hurt.  The early goal may enable England to set records for both back passes and passes between the back 4 in a  match.

Ukraine will be happy to bunker until they are down 2-0 and England will be happy to just ping it around the back with the occasional foray forward.  Riveting stuff.

to be fair here, england have now had a substantial threat in the area every 5-7 minutes since the goal

the rest of the time it's catenaccio, yes

You know what the Ukraine is?  It's a sitting duck, a road apple Newman.

Ukraine is playing so far up now, if England can flip the field quickly, they are going to get open breaks on the goal. Kane just missed Sterling wide open on the left side.

Do you by chance have the Powerball numbers?

Damn what a volley.  Good save.

This is impressive though I get the slight suspicion that with every goal England nets the chances for them to England it up against Denmark gets stronger and stronger.

In fact England should really just go ahead and give up a late goal here to take that monkey off their back

Can’t wait for all the Engerland fuccbois to get their hearts ripped out.

Football is certainly coming home. Because the rest of the games are in London.

I knew England would dominate but didn't predict Ukraine would let themselves be trampled like it was Russia on some western-enabled bender.

This England vs Ukraine ‘21 quarterfinal followed almost the exact script of Germany vs Argentina ‘10 quarterfinal.

Early as fuck goal in the opening minutes of the match by the Saxons and then the grain belt country is chasing its asses off and a 1-0 halftime score before the floodgates opened in the 2nd half following precision passing and ball control by the Saxons.

This England squad looked like no England squad I have ever seen. I have many English fans who would be simply chuffed by a massive effort resulting in a famous victory in the final, but I do so enjoy witnessing English disappointment, so I am torn about England’s play and success.

🤷‍♂️

Has England surrendered a goal in this tournament?

don’t appear to have surrendered a goal since march if the espn widget is accurate
