For what it's worth, he looks how he sounds.

Best match of the tournament by far
Was just about to say that, too... except for the commentary team.

Fun game.  Go Oranje

A friend’s mom is Dutch, he worked in Amsterdam for 18 months, has Dutch relatives, and learned to speak fairly well while there.

[No comments about his large chested younger cousin in the family we stayed with back when we were 22 years-old, but apparently she was legal.]

Anyway, when I sent him a “Go Oranje!”, my phone changed it to “orange”, so you have to watch that with American English phones when supporting the Dutch.

Jeske from Utrecht for me.

Not a defender of UEFA by any means but isn’t the “restart at noon the next day” a sensible option?

They have a 24 team tournament to run in 11 cities and can’t completely turn a group upside down by delaying a game by 3 days.

Seems like it. I wonder who from the Danes thought "fuck it, let's go play" was the better option.

Regardless, very spurious of UEFA to claim the Danes insisted on immediately resuming play when that was merely one of the three limited options extended to them.

Spurious, but not surprising.

UEFA is a giant corrupt piece of shit but at some point they have to finish the match unless Denmark isn't going to finish the tournament  I agree the next day seemed reasonable.

Probably the one player that didn’t go through a traumatic experience of his teammate nearly dying on the field.  Oh wait …

I think that the initial problem was that UEFA offered this choice to a team that was not in a good position to make a decision at that time. They (UEFA) could have made the smarter decision (tomorrow) and owned that and few would have said “that was a bad decision.”

Further, selling this as the Danes decision is just dumb. Once offered simple choices, you are in effect exerting some pressure on the team. That’s on UEFA, not the Danes. Sure they picked a bad choice, but they shouldn’t have been put in that position in the first place.

Well that was different. Scotland with a terrible giveaway.

As a (long former) goalkeeper, that was always a nightmare scenario ... fortunately, I never had one of those, but still ... damn.

Same. Still had a few howlers, though.

Those midfield goals are so awesome. I don’t think I’ve seen the goalie get tangled in the net so much like this guy did. Like Rooney said…take the L and let er go
