I think Phillips will have an opportunity to do this in a lot of matches.

I don't think it's a bad strategy by Rice to send numbers at Eggleston and Fields. Gabriel is doing a good job of recognizing the strategy.

First, too, really.

Jhenna says take that, fatty!

Graham can really set the biggest garbage pass and set it well.  Impressive.

Parra is having a tough night

I don’t watch Rice outside of their matches against us, but she has always played well and sets really nice quick sets. But her form is so odd to me - she gets her feet behind most balls, but it’s almost like she sets only using her wrists

Overpass city on serve receive

Agree that it looks funky.  I had chalked it up to her kind of odd body;

Having a hard time closing last night and right there. Come on one more

The broadcasters are right. Texas hasn't been perfect but Rice is a good team. This team would beat several teams in the 2nd round with the right pairing.

Not a lot of defense here. Combined 5 blocks. Rice .381 and Texas .475 😂

This first time we down a set huh ? 3-2

lol didn’t even finish msg 3-3

Lol looking at her some more, it may just be transfer of momentum.  She sure has an economy of movement to propel sets all over the place.

I feel like Eggleston, Para (mostly), Syd, and Iosia have shown positive back row improvement for the most part. I’m more optimistic about the ability to develop back row SR and defense than I have been in awhile. It’s definitely not perfect, and I still think we could recruit better…but not terrible

Rice doesn't have that many aces, but the service pressure has been withering.

Parra is a liability tonight

If Parra can't get her serve in, Elliott might as well just take her out cause her backrow defense sucks

OMG, can we block that MB? F-ing pain the ass

Asjia heard me!!!
