@mdmost will appreciate this since he met my fiancé when we all met up in Liverpool (oh, yeah, we got engaged) wedding is a few months away. we’ve been trying to pick the song for our first dance

I’m embarrassed for that. Jota had no chance to get that ball. Palace is my second favorite team and they got hosed there.

If the ball was slowing I could see it but there was no way Jota was going to get it back

I’ve watched United get half a dozen worse the last 2 years so I’m not losing any sleep over one going our way.

I get that.

Jota’s piss poor effort on the TAA wonder ball somehow hands us a goal. Feel bad for CP fans, they’ve been the better squad for 60% of the match but Alisson has played like prime Buffon today. But a win is a win.

This would have been the perfect match for Gomez to start.

Or Konate. Basically anyone but Matip

Vine Ok GIF

I’ll take the win. Penalty call was terrible. Alisson is the best in the world

Still can't believe that was called a penalty but ultimately it doesn't really matter. Would rather they'd called the clear penalty on Jota when we played Spuds.

Nine points back with a game in hand, which still puts us as a long shot but it's far from over. We are away to City on April 9 and have some tricky PL fixtures prior to our visit, as well as the League Cup final and our CL fixtures against Inter:

v Leicester

@ Burnley

v Norwich

v West Ham

@ Brighton

v Man U

v Watford

Man City's upcoming PL fixtures

v Brentford

@ Norwich

v Tottenham

@ Everton

v Man U

@ Palace

v Brighton

@ Burnley

Naby Lad is on his way back to Liverpool after Guinea lost to Gambia 1-0. Hopefully he doesn't pick up an injury on the flight home.

Mané concussed v Cape Verde and now Mo is playing extra time vs Cote d'Ivoire. Not ideal imo.

Ivory Coast and Egypt go to PKs.

Tied 4-4 (only miss by Eric Bailly) going to the last kick and you know who sends Egypt through.

I'm sure Senegal will take their time and not rush Mane back out there just to win a tournament....

Mo got the final penalty shot to send Egypt into the next round against Morocco.

Seeing some smoke that we’re trying to swoop in for Luis Diaz.

I could believe it, his statsbomb radar is as badass as Salah’s was at Roma.

So I'll admit I knew little about Diaz before this AM.  Listened and watched ~137 podcasts on TAW, and feel like I know him.

Clearly minutes this season are going to be a premium, but can see him developing into his role going into next season, wher at the end Mane's contract is up (I think I have that right).  If he pans out, getting Jota and him while having Salah/Mane/Firmino at their peaks is GREAT business.  A lot of ifs in that though.

Ha. Take that, fans of a team that's about to win another title!

Yeah, they are crying all their way to the trophy room.

Well I posted it for the video of an absolutely incredible goal and not the dumb tweet but I guess it's not working now.

Diaz is a monster signing. Frankly I stayed away from the rumor mill because I didn't think it was real.

I'm shocked Elliot is going to be able to come back this season

In 2 weeks if Mane, Keita, Diaz, Salah, and Harvey all return healthy  (even without Thiago) this is by far the most talented LFC squad of our lifetime.

Nice little Sunday morning.

Some spectacular business by FSG.

Nice. Learn me on the idea with him? Backup or Thiago insurance? Keita replacement?

So he wouldn’t arrive till the summer it seems

Just watching YouTube compilations he reminds me of Keita. Definitely a more attacking midfielder but not afraid to get stuck in and win the ball back. Kinda hard to see us re-signing Naby unless he can put his fitness issues behind him so it makes sense that Carvalho would be his replacement.

Rumors that this means the end of the road for Origi.  I know business is business, but damn. Build the statue and give the man a proper sendoff at least.

I think sending him on to a place where he can be featured is a much better thing for Origi than being stuck on the bench.

Fuck that. I'm selfish.

It'll be interesting to see how Nat does when he's surrounded by lesser talent. (Albeit playing against lesser talent as well.)

Hope he does well and it pans out for him at Bournemouth, they're certainly due for a good player from us after we sold them Ibe, Solanke, and Brad Smith. Woof.

Solanke’s going to fire them back into the Prem.

Oh damn, didn't realize he'd been in such good form for the Cherries. I just remember getting £19M from a guy who scored four goals in 63 PL appearances.
