November 7, 20214 yr Author The game has been fun running up and down. It’s also good to see Spurs playing possession at times.
November 7, 20214 yr Author Yes it was a draw, but I like this game a lot more than most of the prior 10.
November 8, 20214 yr Author With this international window and 2 weeks off before the next game, I am exited to see how the team evolves. What bigger than the 2 weeks of drills of the players that are not being called up, is the fact that through mid December the team doesn't play anyone that great which means that the team can continue to develop beyond just the international break, working in the top players on the team. Here is what is coming up: Nov 21 - Leeds Nov 25 - @ Mura (ECL) Nov 28 - @ Burnley Dec 2 - Brentford Dec 5 - Norwich City Dec 9 - Rennes (ECL) That's a pretty soft schedule before a run of Brighton, Leicester, Liverpool and West Ham (EFL Cup). IMHO, this is a key time when this team can really mesh under Conte. I thought the Everton game, though disappointing with the result, really showed a big improvement over anything NES brought. The team was much more attacking and dynamic. This development time will only improve upon that.
November 9, 20214 yr Author Taking my above thought a bit further, 14 players are out on international duty of some sort: Hugo Lloris (France) Cristian Romero (Argentina) Pierre Emilie Hojbjerg (Denmark) Son Heung-min (South Korea) Harry Kane (England) Emerson Royal (Brazil) Ben Davies (England U21) Oliver Skipp (England U21) Matt Doherty (Ireland) Davinson Sanchez (Columbia) Joe Rodon (Wales) Dane Scarlett (England U19) Steven Bergwijn (the Netherlands) Giovani Lo Celso (Argentina) That leaves 11 behind. The plan is for them to train their asses off. Some details - https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/special-request-antonio-conte-made-22113471 https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/fixtures-results/tottenham-antonio-conte-international-duty-22104913 Some potential bad news Due to an injury, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg will unfortunately miss the match against the Faroe Islands on Friday. We hope to get him to the match against Scotland next week. Instead, Jesper Lindstrøm has been selected and is taking part in today's training in Elsinore.
November 21, 20214 yr COYS!!!! No Lo Celso, and no Ndombele. Midfield is going to be rough to watch....again.
November 21, 20214 yr Author They’ve been letting Leeds dictate when they have the ball. Unless things flipped that was going to give up a goal eventually. They probably should have had a few chances on net already, but haven’t gotten the shots off. See if they can flip this in the second half.
November 21, 20214 yr Author I’m actually glad the goals are coming from new players too. This is what spurs have needed.

November 22, 20214 yr Author One more thing about yesterday's game This is a great chart demonstrating The difference between the 2 halves of Spurs-Leeds. Leeds clearly was winning the first half with the their xG shooting up on the goal scored. The first half looks like 0.2 - 0.7 with the score being 0-1. The second half was all Spurs, Harry gets a shot off right off the bat and they continued the half with a number of great chances, with 4 shots (from the 1st to 2nd goal) being worth over 1.0 xG.
