This was a really good discussion that Spurs really need to mix up their management and get bigger. Levy doing it all is just bad.

It would have been funnier to draw Nottingham Forest.

Time to bust some ass Conte. Tell these guys to get with it.

Thank god we have a manager where we don't even have to wonder about this

How the fuck is this not called?

I saw that. It was right in front of the ref. Not sure why he didn’t call it.

Huge goal, but if this isn’t a dangerous 2 goal lead, I don’t know what is. If Villa scores, they are going to be fired up. Need a 3rd.

One note about Arlo’s comments about the run of goals without Kane scoring, it’s not just the last 2 games, but 3 games of 12 goals that Kane didn’t score. His last goal was the 2nd against Brighton.

Don’t know if I can remember seeing Spurs play like they have in their current form.
It's been a while for sure

Hope spurs keep the clean sheet and get 1 more. GD is going to be important to get.

Imagine where we could be if Levy hadnt fucked around with nes?

I might say not much changes. This team wasn’t built to compete for the EPL title. At best maybe they are competing for 3rd place and the UCL spot is all but locked up right now. But that’s it.

they’ve been the second best team in the league since jan 1 and if they had taken just half of the points they dropped while playing NES’ turtle style they’d be six off the top of the table today. so i might say a lot changes.

Goes without saying that the $$ that will come with top 4 should allow us one hell of a summer transfer window

Spurs certainly have picked a good time to get their offense rolling. When GD might be important in the race for 4th ..

The is the 4 wins since then:
0-2 @Brighton
3-1 West Ham
5-1 Newcastle
0-4 @Villa

But going back you have 3 more games and 2 more huge wins

3-2 Loss @ Man U
5-0 Win Everton
0-4 Win @ Leeds

Our last 7 EPL games: 6 W 1L, Aggregate 25-4

That's how you get back into the race for the top 4.

Just win baby.  I hope we can somehow lock up 4th before the Burnley match for stress purposes but damn if we can do it by beating Burnley while I'm at the match that would be an insane atmosphere

Yeah, winning will solve this. I think it really comes down to the H2H match just before Burnley. That said, I think the Burnley match might be when Spurs have a chance to seal the deal.

We'll see.

when nuno was sacked the differential was -7.

This was specifically compared against Arsenal (which I agree is kind of foolish). As a whole our GD is +19 (theirs is +9).

the immediate nov/dec reversal and acceleration post-new year just reinforces the impact conte could have had on the whole season had we not messed around with NES last summer/fall. and i say that after being on record here as to not wanting conte when his name was first being floated last spring.

hopefully a strong finish to the season and conte’s vision keeps kane here another year.

Looks like Fabio Paratici is fucked.  Prosecutors in Italy asking for a 18 month ban for transfers done while at Juventus.    Can we get some insight on how to bribe UEFA officials from City?

Seemed to me he had some pretty way more than Ok goals last year.  Add in the nostalgia for long time fans and we need a man bun on the squad.  As far as I could tell he was pretty well respected and liked in the locker room.  He outplayed Cavani who the whole football world salivated about.

Early game tomorrow. Need to keep the pedal to the metal and get another 3 big points.

It might not be a week to get a lot of separation, but midweek games could be beneficial to Spurs

Arsenal has their game in hand mid week at Chelsea.

ManU heads to Liverpool putting a game in hand for Spurs.

Ideally both of those are dropped points and Spurs maintain an edge.

DIdn't hear about this until today, but Conte came down with COVID. Was feeling unwell after the game he had symptoms, tested positive on Sunday. He should be on the bench this weekend.
