If Ndombele isn't moved, then he needs to start being played. He's the second highest paid player after Kane and he can't get on the pitch. Something is not right.

Mourinho had problems with his fitness, work ethic, and changing room attitude and so did Mason. He hasn't featured for France or Nuno, so they must have their issues with him too. He needs to play now or move on in January. It's his 3rd season and this needs course correction one way or another.

This was a really good discussion that Spurs really need to mix up their management and get bigger. Levy doing it all is just bad.

It would have been funnier to draw Nottingham Forest.

fify.

agreed something isn't right. just after he was signed poch said he'd need up to two years to adjust to the EPL and start reaching his potential. levy isn't going to let him go this season on what amounts to a free and there is no other club that will be willing to take on 100% of his current wages. given that he's shown flashes and is only 24 i don't have an issue with then giving him one more chance to see what he can do. if anything he'll provide skilled depth (at least on paper).

Hard to understand why someone with that talent would fail to work.   Must just be an absolute head case for 4 managers to keep him largely out of the line up

Twitterverse says unless there is some crazy good offer that Emerson is the last incoming player.    Not sure what we are supposed to do without another striker.   Do we just play Son up top when Harry needs a break or are we going to run Harry into the ground again or play our kids in the tournaments?

the same thing we've done for the past 7 seasons.

It was worth lowering the wage bill to release him. With Emerson coming in, he wasn't going to play.

Serge was all or nothing. He either played lights out or screwed us but he did seem to play for the club. Good luck to him

So Spurs related.   4 Argentine players have been arrested in Brazil for lying about entering the country.    Romero and Lo Celso included

Our squad is a MASH ward at this point.  Son; Bergwijn; Skipp all with knocks.  Lo Celso, Romero; Sanchez also out.

The Argentines are the worst. All that drama for what? 60 minutes of game time? How long did they even play?

Now they're out of the next two matches.

Technically they are probably out of 1. By flying to Croatia, they can get around quarantine rules and only need to miss 1 game (Palace).

It’s either 62’ or ~72’ depending on how you count the Brazil game.

Don't they miss the Europa Conference match the following Thursday as well, or will the quarantine period be over by then?

COYS!!!!

Spurs are a MASH unit now.  Looks like we're without Son until either the Arsenal match, or October.

Dier is out now too, after 10 minutes. That's not good.

Midfield is non-existent.  If Gil doesn't get into the match, I'd be surprised.

I'm shocked a Winks/Skipp/PEH midfield would suck.

Will Ndombele make an appearance today?  With one sub already used, and Gil set to make an appearance, it's a 50/50 proposition he'll come in.

No attacking creativity and final ball into the final third has been sorely lacking today

Did Zaha just throw a punch?

Definite yellow for Tanganga for that challenge, but if Zaha threw a punch, that should be a red

Tanganga is fast becoming a favorite.

Well that was dumb.

I’ve only recently turned the game on and always have seen palace on the attack. From what I’ve seen and now that red, 0-0 would be fortunate.

In the first half, we had 3 touches in the penalty box. Most recently in the 14th minute. Lucas has managed some good individual work this half and gotten a couple of shots off, but that's it.

CP dominating midfield, just lacking the finishing touch. Real good save from Lloris at point blank range kept it at 0-0.

Royal also getting worked over pretty well on the right, usually by Zaha.

Dumb, but we need someone with some hair on their balls.  It's nice to see some attitude.

Welp. Good thing we have offense.

Gonna take a moment of miracle now to steal an undeserved point out of this

Ok, two moments of miracle.

And that’s that.

Yeah, after the international break, we really were thin. Regroup and get ready for the next one.

Caught first half. Was on flight from DFW to STX.  Landed. Saw us playing with 10 men. Then Davies hand ball then this kid makes it 2-0

3-0 sounds about right. Thoroughly dominated since the opening whistle. I know we are thin, but very disappointing 90 minutes.

Hopefully that's out of our system.

Love Tangangas aggression but he needs to control his emotions.  That is the sign of a professional

I look at it this way, this wasn't even the worst loss in my day.

Ultimate Spurs day - Europa Conference League!

Going to Rennes today!

  • Author

To be fair the first goal was a cross by Lucas that was deflected in net.

Stevie off injured

Lucas off injured

Kane off.

Bergwijn was hurt in the first half. Lucas just came off with an odd ankle twist. Kane too, but not injured.

Gonna be a long season. Although Rennes was in the Champions League last year so it's not like we lost to Zagreb
