Man I loved that team. It was just awesome from day 1. Majewski was the best hitter I ever saw play for Texas.

Wait, you saw Michael Cantu play, right?

Majewski was so clutch. "A country boy can survive..."

This overhead angle is absurd.

Can't tell shit.

Every pitch should be from the CF camera.

Agreed. They've had technical difficulties all day. Now showing lightning in the area.

Going to the Top of the 5th, Texas 3-1

Melendez and Daly got absolutely dominated there, but still 3-1.

Yeah we need those guys to at least be 250 hitters in the post-season. Not sure what is going on. Maybe people have the book on them now, that would suck.

#763

While I doubt they would call a post-season game early I would sure like to get five innings done before the storm hits.

Yep. They pulled the staff from all camera locations bc of potential lightning. Charmin soft, but it IS ESPN...

Yeah I don't get it.  It seems like ESPN is being more conservative about the lightning than the Big 12/NCAA which I wouldn't have thought was possible.

So are we just going to get this wide angle the rest of the game? Weird.

How is it too dangerous for the camera guys but not the players?

ESPN may have a different mileage rule for lightning than the conference does.

Hodo goes down on three straight pitches.

Ok there we go. I guess ESPN sent their camera guys back out again.

Just the ones up high, apparently.

Or not...back to weird wide angle.

And then Faltine strikes out. Damn. Olds is suddenly looking like Greg Maddux.

Gotta give camera guys a break here.  Many of them are holding large metal objects standing on top of metal scaffolding atop metal surfaces.  They can't just up and run outta there as easily as fans can.

What's the conference tourney rule?  If the weather turns shitty...they can't just postpone and have us come back hours later and finish the game with two other games waiting to play. I guess there's time Friday morning to make up some games.  BUt can they just call ours after 5 or 7 innings of play?

11Ks?  Get your shit together.

Yea, this is one of those that I have periodically forgotten that we were leading. Its like that round of golf that you make 8 pars in a row from the woods by scrambling and 1 putting.

Nice. Stevens probably has one more inning in him.

Let's get some insurance or, you know, at least make some contact on Olds.

LOL at that whole "lets ruin some shitty bullpens" sentiment.

I said feast on shitty bullpens. FEAST!

And it was just a suggestion the team has not taken up.

I hope 3 runs is enough to win.

What are we gonna do when we have to start facing much better pitching in the regional/super/cws?

Hopefully be better than this.

At the beginning of the year, If you'd told me Stevens could hold anyone to 1 run while throwing 100 pitches, I would've laughed. Joke's on me.  Way to go, Tristan.

#798

That was one weak slide at 2nd base.

Strike em out, throw em out.

Way to pitch 7 strong Stevens! Take a seat.
