I remember from the old Bluegrass thread (need to start another one) that a handful of folks enjoyed them.

After about a year and a half hiatus they're dropping a new album today.  It's really, really good.

First track:

New album is maybe their best yet.

Kelly's is a sentimental favorite.  I too have woken up in Winona with no idea how I got there.

I'm seeing them Friday night. caught them years ago at SXSW playing at Cedar Street and have been a fan since. the lead singers project, 'Dead Man Winter" was boring as fuck.

Disagree. The last DMW album is my favorite thing he’s done.

Agreed.

I saw DMW 6-7 years ago (after the first album) and they were a blast.  Granted, it was in Minnesota, so they were laying it all out there for the "home crowd" so to speak.

I'm still really liking this new TBT as well.

in 2011 during sxsw i saw jason isbell and trampled by turtles at swan dive. there were about 30 people there. they are too jamgrass for my taste but it was a good show.

The new album is far less jamgrass-y than the stuff they were doing back then.

Going to see them tonight for the first time.  I've seen DMW before, which was great.

Great show.

Also, if you’ve ever wondered where hipster and redneck collide, it’s an Americana concert in the Midwest.

Bump

Thinking about checking them out in a couple weeks in Houston

Doing it in Austin. Deer Tick opening is a big bonus too.

f i didnt know about this.  if it wasnt in deep ellum i'd be all over this.

deer tick opening is a very big bonus.

I see they're playing in Cedar Rapids on a Thursday in February.  Wife and I are going to Milwaukee for a long weekend the next day.  Maybe a detour is in order.
