"It's not easy for Timo Werner"

Well... nothing is easy for him, is it?

Now imagine Lukaku was playing today instead of a 4/10 Werner.

And I'm really not trying to shit on the guy - I want him to succeed but God it's rough to watch him with the ball at his feet.

Oh man... he looks like he's about to tear up. What an awesome moment.

Timo is ass my dude. Not sure how after a full season of suckitude, Tuchel can still have faith in him to do anything but suck.

His pace helps keep back lines honest but it's not like there aren't any strikers with similar pace that can actually do shit with the ball. And today a ton of the game was played with them sitting back while we had possession in their 3rd anyway.

On none of the 3 goals scored today did it matter who the #9 was. Sure he played a deflection off their keeper that Puli cleaned up but any decent striker gets into the box and reaches that ball.

With someone more creative or clinical up front we net 5 today. I don't think Timo is a lost cause but he could use some time on the bench to get his mind right.

Also - I didn't understand the arm thing Puli did after his goal. Here you go:

Yes... I'm saying I didn't understand it before seeing that pic.

But thank you. Glad we've got you around.

Not sure why you wouldn't want a buy back clause for an academy grad who's shown the potential to be a top striker.  He needs time to develop more, but if he does he's the perfect age to slot back in once Lukaku starts aging out.

Option value is never a bad thing. You can discount the possibility that Tammy will continue improving with regular playtime. If he’s a top 5-10 level striker in 4 years, that buy back amount will look like a steal.

#179

Absolutely.  Tammy has shown some flashes and he's only 23.  I don't mind losing him, but the buy-back option makes it essentially risk-free.

It's wild that this dude is still on our rolls.

It appears that despite Chalobah's excellent form we are still looking at Kounde and the MF piece could be Saul.

We're getting there.

Still no Kante although he's active. Ziyech also active although I can't imagine he plays.

We are so deep up front and really in general. You could make two very good starting XIs out of this squad.

I hope we get to see what Timo can do playing off Lukaku against a tired D for the last 20 minutes of the game or so. Though it's probably more likely Lukaku comes off, Havertz slides over to false 9, and Timo plays off Havertz.

Alonso needs to pick up the pace. (If that's possible)

Holy fuck we have a striker that can hold up the ball.

Nice fucking goal.

This could get ugly. Arsenal's back is absolutely atrocious. Both sides of the pitch are wide open and they aren't marking anything inside.

Lukaku is a total game changer for this squad. The defense has to account for him constantly. So much more room for everyone else.

Or it could just be that Arsenal sucks.

Or both of those things could be true.
