Yep, you read the article, and it's the conservatives that come off as the whiny cunts.

On Jan. 25, Nicholas Wallace, a third-year student at Stanford Law School, sent a satirical flyer to a student listserv reserved for debate and political commentary. The flyer promoted a fake event, “The Originalist Case for Inciting Insurrection,” ostensibly sponsored by the Stanford Federalist Society. It advertised the participation of two politicians who tried to overturn the 2020 election, Missouri Sen. Joshua Hawley and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. “Violent insurrection, also known as doing a coup, is a classical system of installing a government,” the flyer read, adding that insurrection “can be an effective approach to upholding the principle of limited government.”

Lmao.

In March, one of the group’s top officers filed a complaint against Wallace with Stanford’s Office of Community Standards. (This person’s name has been redacted from all documents.) The student alleged that Wallace’s satire “defamed” the Stanford Federalist Society, causing “harm” to the student group and to the “individual reputations” of the officers.

Then, on May 22, with graduation looming, the Stanford Federalist Society officer pushed the school to initiate a formal investigation.

Pussy cunts.

Federalist Society law students are by and large terrible, and it’s unsurprising they tried to ruin a kid because they had their feelings hurt

Wanna know how I know you never actually read past the headline?

Stanford was my second safety school.  Southwest Texas State was my first.

And then they become judges. . .

A judge being a member of the Federalist Society should be grounds for impeachment and removal.

Shame on y’all for jumping to conclusions. I’m going to give @Incredulity the benefit of the doubt, and assume that his post was not an off-the-mark self-pwn but, instead, reflects his principled support for strong first amendment protections of those on either side of the aisle.

To be clear, @Incredulity firmly believes that this Federalist Society guy is a whiny cancel-culture tittybaby and that Stanford University should be applauded for heroically refusing to cancel the author of a satirical piece that casts the Fed Soc as treasonous, despite the fact that the article hurt someone’s feelings.

But @Incredulity is free to correct me if any of that is incorrect.

Absolutely.

Offered as parody of the leftist love for cancel culture for their purposes.

Yeah those leftiest fedsoc titty babies are such cancel cucks AMIRITE????

No, but trigglypuff is a prime example of leftist cancel culture absurdity.

How about cancelling the execution of constitutionally mandated duties because you're so upset about losing an election? And cancelling anyone who points it out?

Prime example of righty fascism absurdity.

but, but, but....Trump.

Well done.

TFW the OP of this thread was Stanford FedSoc bitch boys trying to withold the earned juris doctorate of a student - all because they pointed out that the trump insurrection was broadly supported and cheered on by FedSoc. And very fine people like yourself.

It's ok.  You failed.  Not the first time.

Just like your man's fascist insurrection, don't cancel me bro!

You might wanna get used to this. For the rest of time. He set the bar at the bottom.

But, Trump  Score 100!  Congratulations.

Stop trying to twist his words, y’all. Incredulity made clear that he believes that the Federalist Society is wrong and that Stanford Law School and the liberal satirist are right.

And again, he is free to correct any of that if I’ve misstated his views.

I was today years old when I found out that the young lady in that gif is known as trigglypuff. Whomever came up with that should be a VP in product marketing because it just feels like there is no more perfect a name for her in that gif.

It was a threadjack because "cancel culture" and they immediately have to justify far right attacks on free speech with "BUT LEFTIST CANCEL CULTURE"

So if this guy applies for a job with a law firm owned by Federalist Society members and they don't hire him are we supposed to start screaming "CANCEL CULTURE CANCEL CULTURE!"?

He's probably smart enough to not apply for a firm owned by FedSoc members.

In fact, I'm sure other law firms are already interested in this kid.  Not bad publicity for future job offers.

If I walk into any gathering of a group calling itself the "Federalist Society," and I am not immediately offered a sherry by someone wearing a top hat and a frock coat, then by Jove I shall lay about me with this cane, yes, Sir, I shall.

I know that.  I am just throwing out the hypothetical since, per conservatives, people are entitled to employment wherever they want even if they've said things that the employer in question finds objectionable.
