I keep bouncing between different characters.  My confessor is around 90 now.  I have a prisoner and hero in the 60s.  The only class I couldn’t keep playing was the astrologer. Pure casting class is just hella hard, especially early on. At some point I want to try a samurai.

It bears repeating, the scale of this game is just amazing. The underground area is almost as big as the main map, which I still haven’t opened completely. Just a bonkers amount of content and the variation on areas and monsters is awesome. I wish you could do more legit co-op instead of it being limited to instances, but that’s a minor complaint. This game is worth every penny at full price.

I dont know if you have retried the caster, but I found it a lot of fun to play with.

Yea, it definitely got better with some levels under the belt. I found that my confessor/faith character was OP (flies, pest threads, and blasphemous blade wrecks everything). My hero pure strength build was painful as you got into the end game stuff. I had to be carried through Milena on that guy.

It's game of the year (or probably last 5?). It's a worthy investment. Just remember, if you don't know what to do next you can always try fingers, but hole. Works all the time.

Why is it always but hole

Even after the nerf comet azur + Loretta’s bow around 70int are just easy mode

Just bought this for $35 on the Electronic First website. Have to use a VPN for Argentina.

Ready to get my ass kicked.

??? So, you are in Argentina playing a North American version and have to show you are in the US?

For some reason it’s a region based purchase for Argentina? It says in the link to just use a VPN and change your location to Argentina. Didn’t know you could do that - but it worked great. I don’t ask questions.

I should add these code buying services are hit or miss. Electronic First seems to be legit and has a decent reputation but definitely go through paypal.

I found an explanation for this, TLDR: Argentina's currency is very devalued, so the publishers sell games for cheaper there.

My brother and I started playing this a month ago with the seemless co-op mod and we are loving it. The mod is a true coop experience with very few bugs. This is the most fun I have had playing a video game in a while. If you play these types of games and like playing with friends, try this mod out.

I have been sick and decide to play this game. Wtf is the point? I just ride around killing until I die and have to go back and get my coins. I have a shitload of stuff and none of it seems to help my samurai. Honestly getting bored with this. There is almost zero direction with this game.

It took me a solid month to figure it out bc I refused to watch any guides but I really enjoyed it.  I normally play first person shooters and sports games so this was very different for me but one of the best games I’ve played.  Fucking hard too but I felt like a champ when I sat on the throne.

Lol. Anyone actually finish? I made it to the Haglitree when I put the game down. Maybe I'll finish when the DLC comes out. F those Crucible Knights!5107699ed9ce450ba6ae5b899fc97220.jpg

I finished but didn’t beat melania until I used the bleed build. Couldn’t beat her with the sorceress I built.

Just hook it into my veins.

Trailer was awesome. Miquella incoming!

June 21st, nearly half a million people watching live when the dropped.

Time to dust off my caster that was getting wrecked by Rennala. I have guided a faith hybrid and a pure strength melee through the game.

I just finished the original game with the platinum trophy. Holy shit is that the best game I’ve ever played by a country mile! So hard at points, but so amazing on multiple levels.

Yo. Still working on the Gravesite Plains. Damn Blackgaol Knight was giving me fits for a while there. It looks like the DLC expects you to vary your weapons and strategies a lot more than you needed to for the main playthrough.

This is next on our list for my brother and I after we beat BG3. We are both pretty excited.

Don't want to spoil, but the final boss is the worst that From Software has ever designed, and I've killed all of them. It's really fucking bad, you pretty much have to run a specific type of build to kill it, and visually it's incredibly awful, borderline unplayable. It's like you're getting flashbanged IRL for 2/3 of the fight. My eyes actually hurt.

Hard to believe it’s worse than Godskin Duo

Significantly. I'd rather have to kill Godskin Duo 50 times rather than [redacted] once.

Meanwhile I can barely scratch the furnace golem in the Ellac River…

Furnace golems are pretty easy once you figure out their weakness. Just stay underneath them on your horse and jump up in the air when it slams a foot down to avoid the fire. Attack one foot until you hear the stagger noise, then attack the other. If you manage to get both staggers in, it usually just falls flat on its face and you can wail on it for a good 30 seconds or so while it just lays there. Rinse, repeat. It shouldn't do any of its ranged attacks as long as you stay underneath it.

In other news, finally beat the last boss. Ended up using a greatshield/scarlet rot weapon poke build to make it more manageable, otherwise I was gonna go 500 attempts deep probably. He's extremely aggressive and his punish/counterattack windows are incredibly short, especially later in the fight, and it's just not feasible to use any kind of weapon that has any sort of windup at all. Basically everyone that has killed it is cheesing in some way and I think the fight sucks because of the visual problems and because it kind of forces you into a narrow range of builds/weapons.

Kind of a wet fart of an end to a DLC that is otherwise a complete banger.

I’ve made it to Castle Ensis. DLC very good so far. Once you get some of the buffs it balances the difficulty (I’m in the high 130s for level).
