One of the travel outfits I follow, they have a trip coming up in October 2021 and again in June 2022. I am seriously thinking about it.  If there is anything that COVID has taught me it is to take advantage of things when they come up.

I am leaning towards going in June 2022 vs. in October of this year.  Wondering if anyone has done it and if they have recommendations either way.

We would be doin the Portuguese route.  Only 117 km over 7 days of walking, about an average of 10.5 miles per day when you get down to it.

On our bucket list. Have you seen the Martin Sheen movie about it?

Yes. I enjoyed it. I’m not doing the whole thing, at least not this go round. Just the last 110k or so. Trying to decide which trip. Leaning towards next June.

I did the original route (Starting in Southern France through northern Spain) in 2003.  It took me 36 days.  Would've taken me less time, but I was 23yrs old, and was really enjoying the (cough) scenery at the time.  So I'd stay in a town for a few days to "let me feet heal up".

Arguably the greatest thing I'd ever done for myself, and by myself up until that point of my life.  And I'm going to do it again.

That movie was extremely hard for me (and harder for my ex-wife) to watch because I'd recognize places and call them out.  That movie was fantastic.

Naw, i just flew there, whytf would i want to walk it?

santiago de compostelo is a cool town though - as are most un that area
