June 28, 20214 yr Awesome in his own right, and makes Blue a fun lottery ticket instead of a must-succeed RB1 take. Hook em!!!

June 28, 20214 yr https://insidetexas.com/miller-time-tyler-legacys-jamarion-miller-commits-to-texas/ Quote How he fits at Texas: Miller has exceptional first step and lateral quickness. He can afford to be patient up until the moment the hole materializes because he has the agility and initial burst to reach windows. Running backs like that are fantastic for inside/power schemes because they can press up to the line and delay their cut until the linebackers over-commit, which is exactly what Stan Drayton craves. In addition to having the right kind of quickness and patience for Texas’ inside run game, Miller also shows some toughness to run through tackles and the ability to keep his balance when he takes hits. You’d guess from watching the first few seconds of his individual highlights that he’d be a 6-0, 200+ pound power back and he may be some day. However, his 10.71 100m time shows up once he finds daylight. Miller has the potential to be the total package some day as a volume back with big play potential. – Ian Boyd Coach says: Strengths – Well-built athlete with a frame that will hold more bulk. Exceptional balance with sure footwork out of his stance. A patient runner whose vision is excellent and film shows great anticipation often being a mental step ahead of the defenders. Runs the play where it’s called and doesn’t freelance too much. Runs to daylight as a default and gets vertical in a hurry. Very good acceleration and excellent top-end straight-line speed. A scoring threat once he’s in the open field. Shows a remarkable ability to side-step in small spaces and runs through initial contact consistently. Could end up being a YAC machine. Shows soft, sure hands out of the backfield and appears very effective in the short passing game. Runs for tough yards and has a nose for the goal line. Consistently physical. Areas for Improvement – Pass protection and diversity of pass routes is not represented on game film. How this affects Texas: It appears to be a two running back class for 2022 and UT wants Miller to be one of them. His older brother, Damion, signed with Texas in the class of 2017 but never made it to campus. As a 7th grader, Jamarion wanted to follow in his brother’s footsteps and make it to Texas. A great prospect on the field and in the classroom, Miller’s stock will only rise. – Justin Wells Â

June 28, 20214 yr His highlight reel doesn’t match his ranking. Hopefully a great Senior year changes it. Either way, he’s ours.Â
June 28, 20214 yr Has Roach put in a crystal ball pick?He just put one in for Sam Cosmi. This one should arrive in-3-4 years as roach gets better and better at this
