I don’t think he’s big enough to play DE, but is probably a better fit as an OLB-Edge player. Not sure why other than a need for numbers they wanted him to play ILB but it sounds like he was a Pruitt recruit who never bought in with the new staff. Like I said, maybe a change of scenery and new scheme is what he needs, but we really need all our portal guys to hit and I’d be leery of him.
November 8, 20214 yr The shitty part about college football now days is that teams are going to have to re-recruit their own players every damn year. Really crappy for the sport. Like honestly, our number 1 target for NIL stuff should be Xavier Worthy, not any of these 22s or 23s. Which is a ridiculous indictment on college football in general.

What else does he need?

The deal itself is visible in terms of him being publicly involved (It's an endorsement, after all). How much he is being paid doesn't seem to be easy to find with a lazy Google attempt. Maybe he's private. Maybe he only tells the people he thinks need to know. Maybe he's got it posted in his locker. Maybe there's a database somewhere I don't know about. Don't know and don't really care as long as he's happy and it helps us keep him. (As mentioned above, we're in some new waters where we worry about endlessly re-recruiting our own guys.)

My best guess is aggy because of Dekaney.

The tight ends don’t know what each others deals outside of burnt ends even are and we had to tell them it was okay to talk about with whoever.

Thanks, was all I was asking. I have a bunch of nephews, kids friends, etc that have played D1 so am not new to being around that age group, that was pre NIL though. They didn’t seem shy about trying to impress and includes a couple that are currently starting in the NFL. They also weren’t around recruits while i was present either. I definitely saw the competitive aspect though.
November 9, 20214 yr Popular Post 43 minutes ago, Michael Knight said: If players are being taken care of they'll let recruits who visit know. It’s more from the coaches and support staff. They can’t promise anything but they can say if asked “Jatavion Sanders received 10k last year and they intend to keep the program going every year”. Kids are more reserved, they may bring it up if asked directly but otherwise they keep it close to the vest especially as to not cause trouble with their other teammates. I’m sure there are a couple people in the locker room currently that wouldn’t want the fact that Nate Hatter is making more NIL money than current starters. Which is why publicizing NIL deals is always the smart thing to do and why we try and promote it as much as possible. These last three pages would have not even occurred if Jaleel Skinner was committed in the class. To address others in the thread bitching and moaning about NIL without Burnt Ends flair, firstly get your mind right or stop bitching. You can’t bitch about NIL without being willing to give $10 a month to something that’s actually worked. Again, the burnt ends was always intended to be a proof of concept from @immamac and my dumb brain into the brains of smarter people with more resources. We chose TEs because it’s the smallest room and when crowd sourcing and starting from zero it’s better to try and pay 7 guys than 18 WRs or 22 OL. 10k to 7 TEs sounds better 3k to 22 OL and is a much more eye opening number. If we had more bandwidth to promote it I am sure it would get even bigger but losses and time has dampened that quite a bit. Sark also mentioned it was the second most important position in his offense, who’s to say if we had better TEs that the offense wouldn’t be running better? How do we get better TEs? You get the picture. We are also working on something MUCH MUCH bigger than this but it takes time. First steps have been taken and the ball is rolling just slowly and most importantly methodically. Death Star wasn’t built overnight and this would weaponize the NIL bigger than any other school outside of Oregon. Things seem dark right now, no one has been more negative than I have but when people get mad instead of apathetic change can come quickly…y’all just need to hope people get mad. If you have interest in helping in the future with NIL, hell even if it’s something as simple as being a gopher in Austin when I can’t get up there to do something or if you are a lawyer, CPA, work in advertising, graphic design, IT guy or would like to help fundraising please hit my DMs. We won’t need your help at this exact moment till certain steps have been fulfilled but I promise, we WILL need your help. Oh and the Burnt Ends is a baller fucking name
