They should have had a B-52 dropping cluster bombs on the aliens

Agreed. But which one?

It was fine. Unlimited ammo, wrong caliber, no emphasis on explosives, nor use of the known male toxin. But the ship had more than 10 critters. There was a hallway scene where they showed a bunch of them.

Still amusing/entertaining. Nice to see Veep guy.

Watched it last night and thought it was fine for what it was. Entertaining mostly with lots of plot holes. Enjoyable while watching but I’ll probably forget it ever existed in a couple years.

Of the many plot holes, the part that bothered me the most is that Chris Pratt jumped back to 2022 with the female toxin with intent to mass produce it and return to 2050. Then they found out the jump portal no longer worked so the plan was thwarted and everyone felt defeated. Why not just mass produce it and wait ~26 years for the war to start? Once they have the proper technology in the earlier timeline, it’s pretty straightforward to start preparing and wait. Losing the ability to jump forward was not a problem.

I just watched it for the first time as well so it's fresh on my mind.

I believe the issue was the world was imploding with civilizations warring and turning on each other.  They still should've taken the time to campaign and build unity/prepare.  Hell, they should've considered it again whenever they realized the threat in the ship was bigger than they could manage with their small team. But, they didn't, cause its Hollywood and they wanted to wrap it up.

Finally watched this after noting the kind of meh reviews.  I enjoyed it.

Sci fi and anything technical has generally fairly massive plot holes, depending on how hard you look, so I don't really care that much about that.

I suspend disbelief pretty readily.
