There have been others in between that weren’t numbered games right? Same. I can still vaguely remember picking it up on release day and playing it in our dorm room before class. I was a fan of 1/2 and was obsessed with the idea of GTA in a 3D world. Hype had been building for years. Vice City and San Andreas were non numbered sequels.

November 7Nov 7 man it sucks how much of an afterthought it is to be a person who mostly doesn't want to game online. we couldn't have gotten the ballad of fat maude or some underling story for the main bad guy or something with a couple more guns and a car where i can drive around and shoot'em up without a 12 year old calling me the n word online?

November 7Nov 7 That Simpsons meme cuts deep. I remember discovering the original GTA on my PC Gamer demo CD. I'd add a teenage homer & GTA III.
