Lol I mentioned to my wife that had to be from a movie but we couldn’t place it

I tried to get into Maron's podcast but I just don't like it, not the style of podcast I like. But his role here and in GLOW are incredible. Perfect casting. I'm definitely a fan of his acting.

If you like this show, you should catch Marc Maron's interview of Sterlin Harjo. As for his other podcasts, I only listen to certain people and usually skip the first 10 minutes of Maron's complaining.

Damn, this show never disappoints.  That was a solid ass episode

Good rec. I'd like to hear another visit. It was cool Maron did his research on some of the movies.  I hadn't heard Sterlin talk about them very much.

When was the last time you were invited to a white people's party?

Do I look white to you?

Yes.

You kind of do, Kenny Boy.

I find myself saying "Shit ass" a lot lately.

That and ‘little shit pocket’ from Resident Alien.

ACAD!  All cops are diddlers!

I’ve been saying “shit ass” for years and I’m trying to figure out if it rubbed off from another show or just a result of having lived 3/4ths of my life in the fucking sticks.

Same, my aunt used to call me and my cousin shitasses when we were kids.

We need more Officer Big and Kenny Boy going on Scooby-Doo adventures.

Great episode for Big and Kenny Boy.

Great use of Sturgil again in an episode as well.

Was cool to hear Sturgill to close out an episode for the 2nd time on this show. I just realized this song definitely fit the theme of the episode as well.

I used it more as an adjective.  Like a run down house is a shitass house or a piece of shit car is a shitass car.

Definitely started calling my dogs shitasses because of this show though.

I thought shitass was an Oklahoma thing, I don’t think I’d ever heard it in my life before watching this show.

Definitely not just an Oklahoma thing.

Shitass and the less offensive turdass were common with our family and family friends.

Just finished ep8. The first half was just ok for me. But the second half with Big and Cookie's storyline was fantastic.

This show doesn't miss.

Zahn Mclarnon is absolutely fantastic every second he's on screen.

Need more funny.

I laughed when the female spirit was talkin about her sex with our male spirit

I’m behind. The “Free Cheese” episode was fantastic.

Some episodes are stronger than others, but this show just has so much damn heart I can’t help but love it

Lately I've been greeting my kids with "aho, young warrior."  I've also managed work in a shit-ass when my son forgot to take out the trash.

"Steve Mathis is a quiet legend in the film industry. If you say something like, “Man I love that Tom Petty song, Free Fallin.” Steve will reply something ridiculous like, “We had a lot of fun shooting that music video.” I worked on a crew with him where a few of us went to see Escape From New York at the local art house theater, after wrap. Sure enough, our DP jumped up during the credits and proudly shouted, “Steve Fuckin Mathis!” To the applause of our other crew mates. Anyways, it’s great to see him philosophizing with Wilhelmina Jaqueline!"

Was wondering who that was...he was great.

This show is excellent.  As someone mentioned above, funny + heart = win.

Also, just heard Harjo on Fresh Air as well.  Really good interview with Terry Gross.

I’m only on ep 3 but I love that they got the Fleetwood Mac cranberry tik tok guy working construction and talking about cranberry juice.

He's the one of the best interviewers ever.  Astoundingly good. He's great as an actor, certainly in his comfort zone.

None of his standup has ever caught my interest.

Wow.  Had to look it up.

I think this show is like a good steak. Simple ingredients. Simple recipe. Meat, salt and pepper, fire.

Great actors, honest storytelling, respect.

As soon as I saw Bear put that envelope full of cash in the glove compartment.

The Circle GIF by The Circle Netflix (US)

Pretty cool they closed the season with the Tim Cappello cover of “I still believe” from The Lost Boys. Written and originally performed by Michael Been(RIP)and The Call. Been was born and grew up in Oklahoma.

Beautiful ending. It sounds like there’s gonna be a season 3 but that beach scene might’ve been a perfect end for the show. Definitely going to tune in for next season though.

The Spirit is one of my favorite characters ever. Perfect writing/acting combo.
