Didn't find a recruiting thread for Coach Vic, so here it is. This is a very good pick up for Coach Vic, Sammie has been courted by L$U and U$C all season (My daughter is part of Reagan's girls b

  • She won't play.  She's rehabbing an ACL injury.  She wasn't going to play her senior year at CP regardless, but now she gets an extra semester of Texas Athletics medical care and rehab.  Smart play, b

How much longer does Mike Carey have at WV?

He's 412-217 and has been there since 2001.  They have 1 NCAA bid in the past 5 years.  He's only been to the NCAAT 5 times since WV joined the Big 12 - 4 round of 32 finishes and a one-and-done.  Hell, they were a 2 seed in 2014 after finishing the Big 12 schedule 16-2 and tied for 1st and got upset by a 7 seed in the 2nd round.

And now the below - no postseason because they expect a bunch of players to be gone.  They didn't even play their best player (Niblack) in the Big 12 tournament loss to ISU when they lost by 6 when fighting for their postseason lives.

Retired.

Wore them down... Texas getting more offensive rebounds now, and getting to the foul line.

66-46     a little over 3min remaining

I think that girl was just mad at being pressed down 22 with 2 to go in her last game and decided to level matharu for it.

Rori didn't have it today. One of the rare times the team was better with her on the bench

10 points 11 Assists and 2 turnovers, ran the team well. I thought she did very well.

On we go, 27 and 6 for the year so far.

Other than the 3rd quarter meltdown we looked very good.

Need to keep our intensity up for Utah.

So nice the get 2 NCAA wins in one day, time to celebrate

Hook-em!

Moore was the MVP today by far

18 points, 10 for 10 from the line, 10 boards,  no turnovers.

Hell's Yes!

The future looks very bright.

We won our first round game by 21 last year. 18 this year. Not really concerned

Lady mavs giving isu all they can handle and then some so far. Maybe the UT on the uniform has them seeing ghosts.

UTA learned the hard way you don't leave Ryan and Joens open for 3. They played their hearts out though

The joens highlight package near the end of the game was a couple of 3s and then several uncalled offensive fouls with her hooking or throwing an elbow.

her and Ryan are just east to dislike as players.

The scrappy white guys are typically the most despised players on mens teams. Those white girls are the womens basketball equivalent lol

Not wrong. And Daddy Joens is an asshole who usually is making an ass of himself in the stands

4pm ESPN is our R32 time slot versus Utah for Sunday

Shaping up to be a stellar weekend for UK basketball, and you guys were worried about them in UT’s bracket.  Princeton has played well,  shot well and just flat outplayed UK.

JSU has 8 threes. Ohio State would or might hit about 20 against LSU

How old is mulkey?  Would prefer is she did 5 at lsu and retired, so there wouldn’t be too many games against her after the move.

A rough 59.

She’s got a good 10 years left

JSU is going to blow it

If you’ve already been warned, it’s on her for doing it again

You get a warning for delay of game the first time you do it.  The 2nd time, the punishment is a tech.  That’s been the rule for damn near 20 years, it just rarely happens because most players don’t want the tech so they stop.

This is why 14 seeds are 0-111

Understood. But throwing the ball directly to the correct official doesn’t seem like something that should be an infraction.  That’s what I meant by rule interpretation.

There’s a reason I picked Ohio State over LSU.

I picked that one. Kentucky’s magic was gone run out, a la VT. And Princeton is a solid squad who played us tough

She burned some bridges on the way out of here so....fuck em.

Also, Big 12 went 6-0 in the first round. Speaks to the depth of our conference.

ROUND TWO: Fresh off of a 70-52 victory over Fairfield in their NCAA Tournament opener on Friday,  the No. 6/7-ranked and No.2-seeded Texas Women's Basketball team will look to punch their ticket to the Sweet Sixteen Sunday afternoon as they clash with No. 7-seed Utah inside the Frank Erwin Center. The Utes are coming off an impressive 92-69 victory over No. 11 Arkansas in their first round matchup on Friday .

ONE LAST BEAT OF THE DRUM: Sunday's matchup with the Utes will mark the final collegiate athletic event to take place inside the Frank Erwin Center. The Longhorns have called 'The Drum' home since the 1977-78 season. Texas will make its move to the newly constructed Moody Center next season.

ERWIN CENTER POSTSEASON SUCCESS: Including Friday evening's 70-52 victory over Fairfield, Texas has won 7-straight NCAA Championship Tournament games at the Erwin Center dating back to the 2015-16 tourney. Texas' last lost came in 2009, 74-63 to San Diego State in the first-round. Texas is 26-9 in all-time NCAA Championship Tournament games at the Erwin Center.

HARMON CHASING FRESHMAN RECORD: With 163 season assists, Texas rookie point guard Rori Harmon enters Sunday's game needing just four assists to break the freshman single-season assists record. Terri Mack 1980-81 holds the record with 166 assists.

SCOUTING THE UTES: Utah enters Sunday's matchup with one of the most potent offenses in the country as they lead the PAC 12 Conference and rank No.16 in the NCAA in scoring averaging 76.5 points per game. They also rank No. 1 in the PAC 12 and No. 7 nationally in three-point shooting averaging 9.6 triples per contest.

The Utes are led offensively by PAC 12 Freshman of the Year Gianna Kneepkens who averages 12.1 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from behind the arc. Jenna Johnson is the teams' second leading scorer at 11.9 points per contest while Brynna Maxwell averages 10.8. Kelsey Rees is the team's leading rebounder at 4.8 boards per game.

NEXT: Should the Longhorns come out on top of Sunday's tilt with the Utes, they would advance to the Sweet 16 Round which is slated to begin next Friday, March 25 in Spokane, Wash.

Not finding a great win for Utah. Lost to BYU, OU, Stanford, Arizona, Oregon 2 of 3, CU. 2 wins over WSU who lost in the first round and 1 over Oregon who also lost in the first round.

Iowa on the ropes to Creighton.

And they gone.
