Whom do you follow?

I like Stradman, DDE, Doug.  I have tried others, Those have stuck with me.

I'm tempted to buy many of these cars, I guess I would go with the Porsche or s2000. What say You?

I follow ratty muscle cars. He's a veteran and all-around great guy. His brother is still in the service and also really down to earth. Plus its Mopar muscle, what's better than that.

Doug is awesome. I spend hours reading the comments under his videos.

No opinions on what you would get for 20k?  After watching again, I may get a Porcha convertible, just to say I have a Porsche .

I'd pay money not to see Doug's face.

i have: throttle house; autocar; carwow; hagerty; harrys garage; jay lenos garage; lovecars; savage geese; xf motorsports; pistonheads; papadakis racing

These are some of the best produced car videos on YT. Just incredible production values.

Just badass to see him still around in the sport, he was one of the guys that fathered the whole import tuner and import drag scene in the US.

Pretty specific channels:

Restore It for old rebuilds and restoration - this is very zen, no narration, accelerated speed video, you just watch parts and cars gradually go from shitty to new. If you try one thing from this list, try this channel.

Precision Transmission for how they explain and rebuild domestic automatic transmissions. Clearly have a ton of knowledge and experience, have really helped to "de-mystify" auto trans for me.

M539 Restorations for older BMW restoration.

High Tech Corvette - mainly Corvette (duh) and TX-centric, but really a ton of high horsepower drag and street racing of all sorts.

Car Wizard - this is the shop that Hoovie takes his crap to when he can't figure it out. Rambles a bit and is slow-paced in general, but clearly knows his stuff.

Volvo Trucks - Volvo's heavy truck division is totally different from their passenger cars. Specifically, they've done some incredible (and hilarious) ads, including featuring Jean Claude Van Damme years ago. They've also taken a truck to valet parking in Vegas. Here's a more recent one from last year:

And here's where they have a hamster drive a truck out of a mine, to show the ease of steering:

forgot the Volvo hamster ad !!!

Carfection is good. Petrolicious too. I like Harry's Garage and CarWow. The CarWow guy is funny/silly.

There are two kids from Canada who do videos and they are not bad.

The Autogefühl guy is good, even if his videos are really long.

Speaking of production value, DDE videos needs a seizure warning. Those videos combine shaky cam with 100 camera cuts per min. Unwatchable

Alex on Autos: No nonsense reviews, thorough, his preferences match mine.

Savagegeese is real good.  Lotsa detail without geeking.  He's humorous without being glib.

Real Car Reviews is good too.  He "reviews" old crapster cars mostly.  Like a 1999 Buick Park Avenue or 2007 BMW.

this one i like because i appreciate the thoughtfulness he puts into the production, for a private channel.  its sort of what i would try to do (music, camera, narration, length/trimming) if i made videos myself.    its like a less hardcore version of savage geese.

and its about a single guy working on "real" cars instead of these british carfluencer nonsense.

Oldest guy to row Atlantic solo also likes cars.

Savagegeese

Ratchets and Wrenches

Car Wizard

And of course, Scotty Kilmer.

I like the TFL guys a lot, especially the off-road stuff.

Similar to Papadakisracing, Ryan Tuerck’s channel has some cool stuff. The “Formula Supra” build is incredible (Judd V10 in MK5 time attack Supra).

Richrebuilds

Dennis Collins - the “Coffee Walk” videos are great, every Friday.

And SOME of the Donut Media videos are cool, but that main dude James tries way too hard. Jeremiah is cool.

Was just coming here to see if Papadakas had been mentioned. Just spent over an hour watching him tear down a 2020 Supra and build a 1,000 HP drift car with it.

CHIEF Jr. is like Rainman on that old dude. Probably watches him 3-4 hours per week. Says that guy couldn't tell you which end of a cat the shit came out of, but holy fuck does he know about transmissions.

Dude is funny but he’s jumped the shark lately with teaser lines like “last video ever” and “I’m retiring” and “I’m dying tomorrow!”

Gotta hand it to him getting 7 figure subscribers.

Vinwiki guy is my neighbor. I had a party Saturday and Car Wizard and his wife were in town so they came over too. All super nice people.

Ed/Tavarish/Hoovie just dropped the latest season of Car Trek, check it out.

I watch quite a bit of the Goonzquad boys. They are goofy redneck kids that mostly buy and rebuild wrecked cars.

Discovered "Rich Rebuilds" the other day when my son send me a video of him LS swapping a Tesla. It's a whole series, and he does a bunch of other cars. The Tesla swap is pretty interesting, though. Here's one of the videos..

vTuned garage
BackYardBoyz
Westen Champlin
goonzquad
samcrac
LegitStreetCars
WatchJrGo
Vice Grip Garage.....      keeps ya laughing

Donut Media has some good stuff.

I’ll second Hoovie and Car Wizard.

Second for Donut. If they would stop the forced comedy (big redhead guy) it would be better than most shows on cable
