I have no beef with Beck. If our D could have stopped anyone last year, things would have played out a lot better than they did.

No fuck that. Go back and watch the OU game, the offense shit the bed against a pathetic defense.

I dislike Beck the coordinator as much as the next fan, but all the jokes about him in a thread announcing that he's missing a game due hospitalization are as inappropriate as a slow developing stretc

I seem to recall the defense performing moderately well in the back half of the year while the offense diddled itself to low scoring losses.

Or if we tried running the ball on 2nd/3rd and 1, with our backs averaging 8 ypc.

The problem with Beck last season and really the prior is he to often took the foot off the gas which is absolutely a no-no if your defense isn’t worth a shit which ours was last season .   This never allowed us to put games away late in the 3rd qtr and bit us bad more than a handful of times.   Which is why it was nice to see the offense play balls to wall until almost the end of the UTEP game.   Beck would have been content at stopping to scoring at 38 in that game.

Beck sucked at Nebraska, tOSU, and here, but based upon one game against the mighty demon deacons of wake forest, I have changed my mind.

We don’t need this guy stinking up the football thread. We all know the bird is the one getting big kisses on the lips before each game.

There was a decision made to either have Tim wear a CC T-shirt or show moobs.

TB headed to his “retirement” position in Nashville. Not a bad place to make a little “bank,” prior to being told that you’re no longer desired/wanted.

Hook’em!!!

Any updates on Shawn Watson while we're at it?

He's the HC at Wofford now.  Started off as OC, then named interim HC last year, then full time HC.  Led them to a 2-9 record this year.  Amazingly, there are still some people stupid enough to pay this man to coach football.  What a country.

For reference, the Texas offense recorded

(1) 8.95 Watsons of offense against TTU in a 57-7 win.
(2) 11.22 Watsons of offense against OSU in a 49-21 win.

For those who forget, 1 Watson = 59 yards of offense.  Proud moment against Arkansas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.  In his defense (can I really say that?), Texas offense had less than 20 mins time of possession.  Regardless, he was not a very good coordinator.

HaHaHaHa😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

one Tim Beck tells only lies. the other Tim Beck tells only truths. You may ask one of them which play to call on 3rd-and-4 with the opponent showing blitz

And for another laugh, gotta repost this...

Tim Beck chugging a beer on national TV before the game tonight is crazy

Coach chugs pregame beer, hands out pizza and leads team to victory

Tim Beck does it all in guiding Coastal Carolina to key win

John Brice      Nov 8th

Stop me if you've heard this one.

Nevermind, you haven't.

A college football head coach walked onto the set of a live, pregame national TV broadcast and ... proceeded to chug a beer.

Yes, Tim Beck did that Thursday night.

Beck manned up while the rest of the set -- former Florida coach Dan Mullen chief amongst them -- had a modest little sip and then stared in awe at Coastal Carolina's head man.

Beck pounded the beer, crushed the can and then watched his Chanticleers do the exact same to regional rival Appalachian State in an 38-24 win.

The victory was much-needed for Coastal, which pushed above .500 on the season to 5-4 and kept postseason bowl hopes alive.

The Mountaineers dipped to 4-5 and face tenuous times in Boone, N.C.

Hardly done with a single beer in an act of solidarity among his campus denizens, Beck then also proceeded to dish out free pizzas to students and fans postgame after the convincing victory.

It was a signature moment to jump-start college football's Week 11 weekend slate of games.
