Listen man, I’m not steeped in the culture the way you are, but when every webpage on the internet spells it Mola Rom, including IMDB, I feel like I’m not misspelling it. You can hand that spelling loss to Spielberg or something, I’ve got enough of my own I have to eat.

But they cancelled Winning Time after 2 seasons.

Yea that was unexpected when I finished the episode on Sunday.

They haven't beaten both Mississippi schools in the same year in a decade, and they just pencil those in.   It's cute.

Ole Miss was in pencil, miss st was in ink

Every season they take it for granted that they will beat Ole Miss and MSU and every season they lose to one or both. But the very next season, there they are, counting those games as wins.

Such an amazing testament to the Aggie brain.

If we were in their position everyone would be sweating bowl eligibility.  These guys are such delusional clowns.  It’s amazing.

re: Teas A&M being "inexperienced" - using Bill C's returning production, A&M was #7 in the country, with the #8 returning offensive production in the country and the #19 defensive returning production. but sure. "inexperienced" - a two second look at their ourlads depth chart shows them starting 1 true freshman on offense (Bisontis) and defense (Taurean York lol) - they have 4 total in their 2 deep (Jayvon Thomas at CB is 2nd string and Reuben Owens is as well at RB)

i, for one, am shocked that one guy has better stats when he has played the #112 DFEI team (ULM), #35 (Miami, where he was objectively not great) and the #123 DFEI team (New Mexico)

oh yeah, and one team averages 44 passing plays per game (#8 in the country) - the other one is at 29 passing plays per game (#88 in country)

one guy has 5 of his 8 TDs in one game. the other guy has been more consistent (2, 3, 3)

one guy has thrown for 2 picks, the other guy 0.

one guy has about 18% more attempts than the other guy.

one team is 2-1 and unranked, the other is 3-0 and #3 in the country.

it's all ok - i'm sure A&M will continue to score TDs on 49% of their drives for the year. i'm sure weigman's success rate of 50% when passing (lol) will continue all year.

Weigman the best prospect out of Texas since Drew Brees???

They ping pong desperately from one perceived grievance to the next. Sometimes they careen to one wild fantasy or outlandish delusion after another when they need to catch their breath a bit from the hyperventilations over all of the wrongs put to them so onerously by the universe. It’s always fascinating to watch.

I get the impression that beating Auburn this weekend is considered an absolute given? Auburn beat them last year without a coach and with a third of Auburn’s team entering the portal by then.

We are justifiably concerned about Texas taking care of business this weekend even though this is one of the worst Baylor teams of the last 15 years. We’ve been through some shit, so yeah, we’re going to have some apprehension.

During the same time period of the worst sustained Texas performance ever, ATM has largely performed the same, albeit with 14 or 15 FCS victories to pad their stats. We’re nervous and they’re blindly certain.  The dichotomy is kind of wild.

No kidding. Did he just forget about Reggie McNeal or what?

They already have Auburn chalked up as a W. It's fucking incredible after they lost last year to the worst Auburn team in forever with an interim lame duck coach.

That said, the game is in College Station and Auburn is beat up. Auburn lost their best player in the secondary to injury and have some other guys questionable too. It's not like they were deep to begin with. Their offense hasn't been good so far but Freeze is pretty good at scheming them up historically. Maybe Hugh just needs a "message"?

One of my favorite comments that I see posted over there is the constant assertion that, "they will lose to a lesser team like they do every year. It's what they have always done."

Really? I mean for the last decade plus, sure, but what about before that? What about being one of the winningest programs in college football history?

Fucking morons. Smh

The "I wouldn't take 3 Ewers over 1 Weigman" post made me laugh.

I like the guy who thinks w will probably lose to Oklahoma State.  Prototypical aggy.

Aggy managed to beat both in the same season in 2019.  But your larger point, i.e., that it's ridiculous for ag posters to pencil in victories this season against both Ole Miss and klan aggy given that it's a rare occurrence, remains legitimate IMO.

Oh, no no no no.  As someone else upthread pointed out, this has to be the return of Danger Snax, and I am here for it.  This is the hero that aggyland deserves.

I haven't done this in a while, so I sat and looked at the numbers again. While we have been in different conferences and we have been about as shitty as at any time in our history AND they have been the self-proclaimed "Runners of this State," the records against P5 teams from 2012-2023 are:

TEXAS A&M (97 games)

51-46    .526 winning percentage

9-0 in FCS games

TEXAS (121 games)

64-57    .529 winning percentage

0-0 in FCS games because we don't do that pussy shit

We have played more P5 games than they have by a lot and have a slightly better winning percentage.

Was that the same guy that said we were only beating rice 16-10 through 3 quarters (it was 37-3) and only beat Wyoming 31-17 (it was 31-10)?

Aggy thinks we’d have lost to Wyoming if their starting QB played. Aggy pretends to know all about Texas, yet they don’t know the simple fact that backup QBs are Texas’ kryptonite? And now we gotta face another one this week.

Or that the Wyoming QB is a better passer than the starter based on what I have seen from both this season.

I had to read about Sawyer Robertson the Baylor QB transfer from Mississippi State. I saw that he was a 4 star and originally from Lubbock. His father, Stan, was a first-round pick of the Expos in the 1990 MLB Draft and he is a cousin of Jarrett Stidham who played QB at Baylor and Auburn. I don't even know if they have a back-up if he has to leave the game for any reason.

That's actually what the Wyoming fans next to me in the stadium were saying.

Spelling issues aside, I'm not smart enough to play that stupid. Or stupid enough to play to type.

Red red wine user name checks out.

Dumb dumb ass would check out for him also.

The blind confidence on the way up is almost as great as the tears when they inevitably fail to "just win".

Hell we are a year away from joining the SEC and aggy is already chasing us again. They are begging and hoping we lose 2 or 3 in every thread so they don't have to experience the pain of the first part of this century. Poor aggy you are now so far removed from the new identity that allowed you to live vicariously through other programs. Can't wait for the day we lift that trophy first.

If you take out the FCS wins is aggy under .500?
