November 25, 20232 yr Would they rather us kick a FG? Handing off to your 5th string true freshman RB behind our all backup OL is not running up the score.

November 25, 20232 yr Don't want us to run up the score? Don't be assholes, push and talk shit to our players when you won your superbowl last year. Fuck tech.

I mean after we got that first down we could have just taken a knee and the game would have been over. They weren’t going to call time outs or anything. But fuck them, you find out if you fuck around.
November 25, 20232 yr It's dumb because Texas should have been running up the score in this game. Look at everyone comparing the Tech vs Oregon and Texas vs Tech score. Sorry that we're playing for a playoff spot and your team is 6-6. Edited November 25, 20232 yr by Rickylovesweed
November 25, 20232 yr Popular Post Sark is nice to a fault. I would consider looking in the mirror to figure out what I did that pissed that guy off so much he was going for it on 4th down when Texas was up 50-7 and there was 45 seconds left in the game.

True. Though it felt like he was letting mostly freshmen play those last few minutes just to get snaps and Tech still couldn’t stop anything. There was no letup from backups which was nice to see.

I mean, we basically ran it nearly every play in the 4th quarter. A lesser man (me) would have thought it's important to get real game reps for our freshman and run a regular offense with deep and intermediate passes. If you can't stop Texas's 4th and 5th string running backs, a walk-on 4th string te, and a true freshman backup left tackle, among others, than that's on you. I guess the road to the big 12 championship does run over Texas tech players. They fucked tapped out. We ran for 300+ yards without Brooks and with a clearly hobbled Baxter. I guess they fucked around and found out. I admire good shit talking but ultimately, if you are going to talk, be prepared to eat a little.
November 25, 20232 yr Popular Post I just keep replaying in my mind the video of the on-field action after the game in Lubbock last year and that little Tech prick sucker-shoving a Texas player. This ass-beating was well deserved. Fuck Tech. Edited November 25, 20232 yr by utee94

I think there’s a little bit of a misperception about Sarkisian that this post highlights. He’s less of a “nice guy” and more of a “good guy”. He’s got killer instinct and isn’t an overly nice dude. I mean, he’s nice in person, and not some asshole grouch like Fisher or Saban, but he’s not “pushover nice” and will step on your throat if he can and it’s worth it.

Joey HS and Yormark talk shit, OK - eat a 50 point beatdown and play comish comments on the Jumbo-Tron ( I guarantee Sark had input on that decision).

Is this a $150 million dollar swing for Mark Stoops?
November 26, 20232 yr Looch is going to spread that aggy turned stoops down due to their fan base???? Why would you do that? Why not just let it die quietly?

November 26, 20232 yr I mean Looch laid the groundwork for it to be Robinson with his whole thing about how everyone had reached out to him about how impressed they were and thankful to have a coach like Robinson in the program, but to scare them with Stoops just to make Robinson more palatable would be....bizarre...

I'm really, really happy to hear you say this. IIRC, one of your big misgivings about Sark initially was questioning whether he was a "killer" or not. I think you referenced early Mack on the recruiting trail and in his dealing with the press as an example. You're obviously far more in the know than I will ever be so hearing you say that Sark does, in fact, have some of that that killer instinct that coaches like pre-decline Mack had (among many, many other great ones) gives me a lot of hope for the future. I sincerely hope Sark hangs onto whatever he's found.
