And yet people on this site and idiots in the media think these guys are going to do something better than 8-4. Right now, 4 of their road opponents are ranked, and higher than ATM to open. That doesn’t include @Missouri who very well could be ranked when ATM shows up. So, yeah, sure this is the year they break through on the road and become a completely different program.

I don't need you to go full um.. Ewers thread on receipts.. but I guess I'm missing all these Surly posters that think aggie is gonna break the fucking 8-5 ceiling this year. I'm sure there are one or two regards here that think it and of course the mediots have bought in for unfathomable reasons once again. Just not seeing many posters here that buy the cult propaganda like the media.

they had stated quite matter-of-factly that we wouldn’t sashay into the conference and run it but it seems they are now saying we have done?

Go back through the various aggie threads where people retread the trope “this site always underestimates ATM and then we’re all disappointed when they beat expectations”.  This thread, 2026 recruiting thread, the 2025 football thread, and Tell Me Abour ATM are good starters.

Well, perhaps my brain skipped over them thinking them sarcasm or just ignored them for being dumb. I'm just going to have to take your word for it as I've zero interest in reviewing threads looking for stupidity. Plenty to be found without digging for them through archives.

Sir, I think you are forgetting about their glorious 2020 campaign and all those great teams they beat.  But the Sip media screwed them out of the playoffs, which they likely would have won.

It's what they do in DoubleThink Station.

They also warned of our toxins wafting across Dixie and eroding the purity of SEC essence. We are

t.u.

Destroyer of Conferences!

Only Aggies see us for what we are. We zombified Sankey to do our bidding. Next, we voo-dooed the entire country outside of College Station and Katy so they couldn't detect what a horrible fate this was for the SEC.  The voo-doo worked so well that most see the move as good for the SEC.

The Aggies face the fate of the prophetess Cassandra. Always right, but no one believed her.

But but but they killed us a meaningless SECSECSEC tournament softball game and stole a match from us in volleyball.

Don’t forget the collapse against us in MBB in Austin and the SEC tournament game

Texas is a minority school that is begging for a 9 team SEC schedule. Most of the rest of the conference doesn't want it, because they're pussies. We want a 9 team SEC schedule, 3 Rivalries, AND to keep playing marquee non-conference games.

They're all lying pussies.

Does it really matter who our respective teams play?  I mean they have Marcel Reed who's Lamar Jackson 2.0 and we have that overrated celeb guy who's riding the coattails of his uncles.

Most College Football fans could have probably guessed that Texas A&M would headline this list before they even opened the link to this article. Sometimes our preconceived notions about teams are accurate in the data set. Texas A&M’s famous Aggie Rollercoaster rolls on through the first half of this decade. Wisconsin, USC and Miami are a bit unsurprising, with Badgers, Trojans and Canes fans all experiencing their fair share of disappointment over the last few years. Perhaps most surprising is that Nebraska and Texas didn’t make this list given they have similar reputations, though Texas has come into their own lately.

Good Lord that was mind numbing. What? About four original posts (they've appeared in hundreds of other threads, so not truly original) that are repeated over and over.

spacer.png

Yeah, he really sucked at that 2a school.  Other than breaking both of his uncle's records and putting up these stats

That guy saying he wished Manning went to Georgia so he could cheer for him has to be the tiniest dicked poster ever. Just flat out admitting he’s living vicariously through a conference opponent so he can enjoy wins. What a fucking pussy.

That entire fanbase did that for OU in early Mack years.  Despite OU routinely kicking the shit out of them.

You're off to a difficult start, Olin, but you're an old pro. Let's see your sunshine pump from the koolaid stand.

image.png.31a059b3f49a658d8fd2896c7bbd826b.png

Okay, I admire your swing for the fences here. Sports statistics lie and deceive. A guy averaging 10 tackles a game and .5 sacks might not really be doing that. Lyin' stats, man. But Olin isn't talking about those kinds of statistics.

image.png.2e2ae62f2042136751be1ab62fc82047.png

image.png.0543cb9a4d1f5c79322e47c59347aabd.png

Man, you're going to go all Perry Mason on these fucking stats when you prove that Tyler Onyedim actually did manage a sack last season! I can't wait to see you plunge in the dagger. Take this, Stats, you villain!

image.png.6d418db35573883104ef734c539ec256.png

It gets better and better! Onyedim was playing out of position even though it was his position! Now, how many sacks did he have, Olin? I'm breathless!

image.png.aa66ad90040500d07f829b3a5cf23459.png

Okay, but you started out talking about lying stats.

image.png.176c4aa0baf5684c34d9b3157448e218.png

Okay, now deliver the kill shot. You're not applying lipstick to a hog, you're blowing the whole notion of statistics being meaningful out of the water! You magnificent bastard!

image.png.42e1040ea842d5d46fc14602664445ea.png

So, still no sacks in 2024 and only 3 prior to that. You're losing me, Olin. I thought your whole point was to prove the stats wrong and Onyedim to be a solid pass rusher. What have you to say about that now?

image.png.7f010bcbb10aac360984e8a800433c96.png

That's a good thing because statistics suggest that he sucks at it. Stats are kicking your ass, Olin.

image.png.de6282ed7d63601dffff8872839ec05f.pngYou try hyping an Iowa State wide-body to rustle the jimmies. I deal in hope.

Fair point, Olin.

1 Why would anyone do that when there's a summary? You ever listened to yourself, William? Beating. Beeeee-ting.

2 The word you're looking for is summary. A transcript is a word-by-word record. A short-handed transcript, I'm guessing, is a transcript that needs more employees. I know, William, it's the short-handed transcriber who makes you sound dull-minded again here.

3 I'm sure you're right. Listen, I have plenty of posts around here. Pick one and show me how it's done. Oh, and thanks for reading!

4 That's a mission statement for one of our schools.

I know I'm late (been a busy week) but THIS is the funniest off season thing to happen ever.

I've always been a little disgruntled that we don't claim some extremely valid older titles while actual bluebloods like Bama will happily go out on some ridiculous limbs to put more years on the board.

Title claims based on retroactive rankings are stupid and I will die on this hill. If no poll or system considered you the No. 1 team in the land at the end of the season (before or after bowl games), the matter is settled. Claiming the national title based on a ranking invented many years later is just a lazy attempt at rewriting history to your benefit.

I guarantee you that if Sark makes it to the top of the mountain and wins a national title at some point, A&M will retroactively claim the 1917 national title to try and keep pace. It doesn't actually make that long-dead 1917 squad national champions. I would feel similarly if Texas ever attempted to claim the 1914, 1918 or 1920 teams as national champions. The 1941 team is a bit different because the Williamson system named us national champions at the time, but given that we didn't win the SWC that year I doubt we'd entertain claiming that season in this day and age.

Those goobers change their tune faster than an Austrian yodeler on crack.

It must be mighty sugared Kool Aid to sweeten up their post USC bowl game attitude.

Didn't Elko say at one point he really struggled calling the defense and being the HC at Duke? "Struggled" meaning that he couldn't handle it mentally and it was overwhelming him. Are things all of a sudden going to be different for Elko now that he is at A&M?

Boys and girls, we may witness an epic meltdown at A&M this year. This team is getting over hyped (again) and their HC is about to overextend his capabilities. One "unexpected" loss for that fan base and Elko might end up in the hospital because he clearly does not have the physical condition to keep pace with the mental challenges of going 8-4 again and being the owner of the poor defensive outcomes.

That would give those fightin Texas ags a great excuse for their season and the next few.  They’d have won 3 NCs in a row but for the unfortunate sideline death of the best coach in football.

9-3 with losses to ND, LSU and Texas would give them exactly what they love.

Media attention: they would be on the playoff bubble so they would get talked about on all the shows constantly.    Leading into the Texas game it will probably be for a SEC champ appearance and after the loss they will get bubble playoff talk for a week.

The world is against them:  Then when left out they get to complain about how everyone is against them and will see conspiracies under every rock.   Texas being the main source of evil obviously.

And finally their favorite tradition, hypothetical wins.   They get to watch the playoffs and tell themselves they would have done better than whatever big 10 team was picked instead of them.   And that will lead to next years rollercoaster.   9-3 gives them everything a little Aggie could hope for.

True hilarity would be including, rather than some B1G team, another SEC as the bubble team presumed to have "taken their spot." Especially if that team had the same record but actually looked good other than a narrow loss at Kyle after which said other team got their star QB back from injury,

Guys, their team has the ND game circled! Scooby said!
