Friendly amendment: and begged a guy who had quit the team to agree to play again buy never put him in the game.

August 25Aug 25 Something only the Aggies worry about. We all know where this is going. And, on post number 6, it arrives. Has anyone ever seen a concern anywhere else about one's status as another team's rival? This is a perverse version of stolen glory. We are not glorious through achievement; we're glorious because we are the most despised of a glorious opponent! That they see no meaning in the proportion of one school's fight song mention of them, which is sorta dismissive, and their own War Hynm (fuckin' war hymn, man. fuckin' serious shit!) which is dedicated to their hated rival and even choreographed is so indicative of their beloved delusion. This guy loses sight of the question: As I sort through my raised hackles, I must point out that there are posts recognizing OU as our likely main rival. I've never spent a minute fretting over us being theirs when they were in the middle of their exciting competition with Nebraska back in the Big 8. I doubt Arkansas cares if we consider them our number one rival. Texas and Arkansas, in these cases, don't identify themselves by their importance to a school they hate. But back to pathology: Where's the pathology? you ask. The man's evidence: A meme from 2006 with a screenshot of Hornfans. Seven references to A&M. One is written by an Aggie. I think Miller58 was an Aggie poster, but I don't remember if he posted his crazy shit on HF or T-Ags. One is about the famous nut-squeeze event from their Tech (loss at A&M, 31-7, pirate soldier game). Tech won with a td with under 1 minute left. Testicles squeezed in vain. Sad. And various ridicule. 2006. It's not psycho at all to keep this crushing bit of evidence at hand! Some Aggie boilerplate: Pitiful hope about Arkansas: Everybody despises you. That's not the same thing as hate, my Aggie friends. Most only think of you on game week nowadays. Edited August 25Aug 25 by RomaVicta
August 25Aug 25 If worshipping cows means respecting them enough to not shove an arm up their asses, then call me a cow worshipper.
August 25Aug 25 i have never heard them say we are "cow worshipers" they are the ones that have a dead dog scoreboard and cultural, academic and military rules for their dog whatever the other wtf? in that batch is the "demanding to take the rivalry weekend game with lsu game away from them" again, that's news, wtf is that about? this was only 3 years ago and the storyline was 100% "we've been promised the first game is at pyle to make up to us for us having fake our approval of letting them in" corndog was not mentioned once that i can recall - did i miss it?

What we likely missed was someone on Texags speculating that we did so and then this speculation being embraced as sacred truth on Texags. They show their worship of this now sacred truth by constant repetition.

August 27Aug 27 1 I suppose it is possible that their potential market may not make the connection between the colors used on their uniforms and those on the boxes. 2 The band is exactly the same on every cigar! 3 It sure does. They lose points and probably money from not having 12 in each box. Who doesn't want to be this guy?

The ring being displayed in every picture is fucking odd to me. My FIL is a 3-time aggy and switches his aggy ring on each hand depending on what hand is shown. How sad is it that with all of his accomplishments (he is a great human and fantastic FIL), that is what he wants to stand out most.
August 27Aug 27 So they're not just cigars with an A&M logo slapped on them, but rather the "every detail" referred to here essentially means they are cigars with an A&M logo slapped on them inside colored boxes with an A&M logo slapped on them? Also, which one is the 2010 graduate? They all look old as fuck in that photo.

It's a couple miles from my office, and maybe 3-4 miles from my home. It's on a nice street with a fair amount of bars and potential foot traffic in...not exactly what I'd consider a part of town with a high percentage of Aggies, per capita. I find cigars vile. I can't get the taste out no matter how many times I brush my teeth, makes your hair smell l like a campfire, but whatever. What I can tell you, is that I'll absolutely never buy anything from these guys. I won't recommend it to anyone. I have a good buddy who's an Aggie and loves cigars, and he'd probably love these, but nope. Go fuck yourself. I'll never respect any business that panders to a small segment of the population at the risk of offending a broader, more general public. But that's who those losers are, and they're not even smart enough to see what a weakness it is... Their store would probably CRUSH it in Cypress. Maybe they could relocate there and get Daddy98 to show up and regale everyone with his stories.
August 27Aug 27 @SydneyCarton I agree. Enjoyed cigars a couple times a year when younger but damn, the two day mouth/throat taste. Listerine, Bourbon, vodka nothing can kill that shit taste. Plus your clothes need to left outside or your house will smell like shit too. Got a few nice tobacco pipes now and use one about once every 6 months to a year. Nice smell, no nuclear mouth issue. Damn you also mentioned the Heights - loved my bungalow there. It took me longer to get a parking spot in my downtown garage than it did to get there. Worst decision ever was selling it but I was young and moving. Needed cash for next house. Bastard is worth 3x what I sold it for now. Great original places to eat so close too! X-wife, known as Satan, taught at the school in the middle of the Heights. She could walk to work! Great area. Like you, don't see many cigar smokers there. Give it 8 months and you'll have a cool bar instead. Edited August 27Aug 27 by hornlife

Maybe they could relocate there and get Daddy98 to show up and regale everyone with his stories. I used to enjoy them. My ex-wife and I use to head down to Tijuana every couple of weeks. I'd buy a nice Cuban, find an outdoor table to enjoy tacos and beers, and she'd hit the shops on Revolucion. I use to smuggle a cohiba or two back every trip to enjoy later. Then one morning in Pasadena...Michigan game IIRC, none other than @Macanudo handed me what I’m sure was a fine quality cigar. I thanked him, lit the thing, and within a few minutes I decided it was fucking vile, threw it down, and I haven’t smoked one since. It was an expensive and gross habit that I'm glad I'm over. I was dining outdoors last night with the GF, and some asshole was smoking a cigar nearby. I'd rather smell weed, which, being in San Diego, I smell quite often. Edited August 28Aug 28 by Gil Bang

August 28Aug 28 As for last year, Notre Dame lost the following week at home to Northern Illinois University. Remember how they discredited our win at Alabama a few years ago? That wasn't the same Alabama team as later in the season! Also, Olin dared not utter the name of near-nemesis, The Bowling Green Seniors. Edited August 28Aug 28 by RomaVicta

August 28Aug 28 Where is this best OL coming from other than them? Moss is a good RB, he'd be good for us - let's see after injury. I think maybe one of their OL would help us? My prediction, not worth shit tbh, Reed will suck against UTSA. He's not a good QB, could have been. He can run. If he does that they win. Conception is a good WR - if he creates separation they win and Reed looks great. Miles is a much better QB until they dumb fuck him. Reed will be their starter (obvious) but by mid season we're going to plan for Miles. aggy - where QB and WR go to die. How many have left that program to earn starter positions at other schools? I'll never understand a top WR or QB going there. It's a deathbed to careers.
