Sunday at 01:01 AM4 days Popular Post I think my favorite assumption about Elko is his defenses are good. In their last 2 games, Wisner and Fletcher ripped that defense apart to the tune of 327 yards on 36 carries. Said defense is losing Regis, Onyedim, Howell, Lee, and Chappell to graduation. Searcy, Sanford, York, Ricks, Brooks, and Ratcliffe are all draft eligible. Not sure how many of the 2nd group have announced they are returning, but they could easily lose 2-3 from that group. Next season is going to be a complete rebuild and they are going to have to play teams that don't suck in conference. Edited Sunday at 01:03 AM4 days by HtownHorn

Sunday at 01:27 AM4 days Kills me that I will remain so far behind on this beloved thread, but... * Because no coach wants to stay at A&M. You must always worry that they will flee the shit storm that you've created. You are not a destination. You are only able to hold coaches through absurd contracts. The thing is, you won't get anyone who has great ambition to be Aggie coaches or is in the prime of their career. You're only hope is to catch lightning in a bottle with an up and comer who leaves you with something great. Is it a mystery not that Elko's name only appeared on the board of actually big time schools after the cream was gone?

He's not getting drafted. He'll end up an UDFA because he's short, slow, weak, and is limited in every facet of the game. Hence why we didn't offer him. Neither did Bama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Ole Miss, or any of the Florida schools (and I do mean all of them). His offers, and it shows why, were aggy, Baylor, SMU, Duke, and North Texas. He won't be making a career out of football, even in the Canadian league. He's just too below average to bad for anyone to want to waste a pick on him.Â

Sunday at 02:18 AM4 days I wonder if Michigan would have any interest in elko, and if the new contract 1)is signed and 2) would make moving prohibitively painful if he were to quit.Â
Sunday at 02:18 AM4 days *Neither did you. Maybe losing to a "mediocre" team means you don't belong either. Â

Sunday at 03:53 AM4 days I am still mesmerized they promoted a shitty WR coach to be their OC. Elko's rolodex of coaches must be one card, or nobody likes him. Edited Sunday at 03:55 AM4 days by HtownHorn
Sunday at 04:38 AM4 days Kind of funny that they think their issues start and end with Reed. Some of them seem to think their OL and defense played a good game and both will likely be even worse next year.

Sunday at 06:18 AM4 days That has to be a troll harking back to a 1939 championship mentality. Where to even begin..Â
Sunday at 06:28 AM4 days I really appreciate the posts here. Got to say you give @RomaVictaa bone and it's wonderful. Many others too. I'm on record pre-season saying Reed was a terrible QB. I am also on record calling for Arch to be benched at times. Arch seemed to figure out feet don't catch balls. aggie hires a 2 year HC from Duke and expects greatness? Well, that's Gary Owens funny. Of course he has no tree or ability to get top guys. I still say Flood can be upgraded. Sark's recent hires seem top notch. For two years in a row we've kept aggy out of the SEC championship. Wisner is balls out on them. aggie is going to have a really bad next year. Our schedule is no joke either. Anyway, thanks to all of you that give us the aggie tears of failure.Â

Elko spent a decade plus with Dave Clawson and 4 with Jimbo. The only conference championship he's coached in was a win in the 2013 MAC championship. Not much coaching talent is yearning to sign up for that mediocre track record.Â

I couldn't get through really reading that shit. Skimming summary I got was refs robbed them, they somehow played for a championship, expect a new fake one to appear, Longhorns are the problem. Someone with more concentration than I have may have other ideas. Oh, and they really do fook sheep, goats or both? Â

Sunday at 05:06 PM3 days No real news but some may enjoy. I on campus met (under and grad so yes, I was at UT for a wonderful 6 years) Ricky, Hadnot, Priest. All of those young men had tree trunks for legs. Ricky even talked about it with me how he couldn't find jeans to fit him. He was just that kind of guy talking to a 140lb fellow student. Legs to big waist too small. Imagine the power or watch some on those games. I use to see Mackovic every Wednesday - had some bullshit morning elective in Bellmont. Super nice man. He asked me to come to our bowl game (Arizona area or something against NC - Priest went nuts on them). I told him, I'd love to but was broke. The next Wednesday I saw him he gave me 2 tickets and said I hope you make it son. Very nice man and like Sark offensive genius.Â

Sunday at 05:46 PM3 days we are straying and I fear @immamac. We, I think sometimes forget how good Priest Holmes was and his NFL contributions. My only, no point was to tell part of why Texas is a real Blue Blood. I'm glad some of you remember and thank you @Pato del Muerto @UDontKnow @South Austin @Armybratas always sir. Aggy like to claim being one - in what fucking history? True programs that can claim that no order - Texas, Alabama (no doubt), OU (hurts me to say but for sure), USC, Michigan, is tOSU here?, ND. not totally sure where to go after those - lil help?
