November 17, 20223 yr It would seem Four’s wife is setting up the money grab with the overnight stay. But this show is about all people being broken in some ways. so it’s not a scheme. carry on.
November 17, 20223 yr It's been a while since I watched season 1, but I remember thinking Tanya was a typical Jennifer Coolidge character - quirky in a funny way. This season though, Tanya seems way more crazy, like actually crazy in a psycho way. I don't find anything redeeming about her at all, and even with Greg probably cheating and generally acting like an asshole to her, it's hard to feel sorry for her. She's narcissistic and cruel, especially when she's interacting with Portia. I find her totally disgusting this season.
November 17, 20223 yr Her one-note blubbering just drags the show to a halt for me and has since the beginning. I pretty much have liked everything but her.
November 18, 20223 yr Finally watched the first 3 episodes. I’m enjoying it although not quite as much as the first. Definitely missing Armond, although I think the new hotel manager will be very interesting in ways we don’t fully appreciate yet.I suspect Greg’s entire reason for being married to Tonya is to get some of her money. I wouldn’t be surprised if the person on the phone is his true partner and he is merely a con man. Four previous marriages could be four previous targets.I liked Jennifer Coolidge in the first season but I find her pretty annoying so far in this one. She seems like a crazy person with a pill addiction who is both narcissistic and completely spaced out at all times.I’m rooting for Portia and Mia.
November 18, 20223 yr I will never understand the Aubrey Plaza attraction people have lol. All I will ever see is Parks & Rec version. The other wifey is hot in the show. So far it's the same recipe as before. Family, couples, singles cross paths and eventually merge. Hotel manager has big shoes to fill. Of all people from season 1 I wish they didn't bring back Tonya. So hard to watch her. Alpha male guy isn't as insufferable (in an entertaining way) as the newly wed husband in season 1, but he should be a good shit stirrer Mia...more Mia please. Grazie
November 21, 20223 yr That was a great episode. I knew some kind of evidence would be in Ethan’s room, figured it we be a thong or something, but the condom wrapper was perfect. Harper might murder someone.Interesting that even though Cam and Daphne have cheated on each other, they seem at peace with that situation and are the happier couple. When they are alone, they seem happy. Meanwhile Harper and Ethan seem completely miserable together. The entire sequence with Mia and Giuseppe was hilarious. Mia and Lucia frolicking around the hotel and gradually interacting with each guest is great.“I need to fuck him right now.”“I’ve created a monster.”

Oops, that was supposed to be son or father...or grandfather or grandson if you look at it that way. And now we have a winner. Damn Mia is hot. Would have no trouble fucking in a church.
November 21, 20223 yr Love this show. They could have 4 hour episodes and I would be hooked. Can't thing of any other show that feels that way, except for maybe Stranger Things.
November 21, 20223 yr S4 really brought things together, or apart, so to speak. I asked my wife who she thinks dies and at this point almost everyone could be a candidate to be a murderer or a victim or both.Could Daphne be looking to feign an accident to kill hubby to get his bucks? This crowd Tanya has inserted herself and Portia could be dangerous swindlers. Will Harper take her nerd hubby out? And Alvie seems to have a bit of simmering anger under his repression and wokeness.S1 was only 6 eps but we have 7 this season. Im rooting for Mia, Lucia, and Isabella, the clerk Valentina has a crush on.
November 22, 20223 yr Yeah, this crew of gay guys didn’t just appear out of nowhere to innocently lift Tonya’s spirits, but I’m glad they did, because her character was pulling on the whole show like a drag anchor.
November 23, 20223 yr I love how out of control/over the top the unintended consequences are in this show. On par with that same aspect of Seinfeld and Breaking Bad.

November 23, 20223 yr I loved how uncomfortable the last episode made me. The anxiety in most of the scenes was palpable. Harper/Ethan and then all 4 of them together Albie/Portia/Jack scenario Isabella and Valentina I havent even really paid attention to the murder aspect that's forthcoming...it's almost an after thought to all the drama. Like, "oh yeah..one or more of these people will be dead soon, and one or more of these people may or may not be a murderer."
November 23, 20223 yr I likely glazed over it, so forgive what is almost certainly a stupid question, but how do we know that there is going to be a murder? We know that a shipwreck is coming, but I've forgotten about any overt references to a murder.

We don't explicitly know anyone was murdered, just that multiple bodies have been found at the resort. I must've missed the shipwreck reference.

I believe that the opening scene featured a bunch of bodies and wreckage coming ashore, along with some indication that at least some of our main characters were on board and presumably among the dead. But I was pretty baked at the time, and no doubt still giggling over the two goats fucking during the opening credits.
November 23, 20223 yr the way quentin kept insisting on tonya going out with the gays on the boat has me thinking there's going to be an accident during a booze cruise. as a result a widowed greg is left rich and free to do what he wants.
November 24, 20223 yr Seeing Quentin makes me want to watch In the Loop. I haven't got any thoughts. I'm just staring vacantly into space while a distant voice in the back of my head goes, "Oh, shit!" like a car alarm in the middle of the night.

Valentina arrives and is told other bodies were found. I don’t recall any wreckage
November 24, 20223 yr Watching the foursome I just can’t help but think about Glenn and his wife going over to H.I. and Ed’s

I don’t recall any wreckage I thought that there was wreckage, but maybe I'm inserting something that wasn't there due to how I perceived the "one week earlier" transition, which I somehow thought suggested that a boat ride was associated with the corpses. I may well be completely mistaken about this. Edited November 24, 20223 yr by Prepuce of Doom
November 24, 20223 yr Just rewatched the opening. Dude says one of the guests has drowned. Valentina goes on about well we're not liable for the ocean. Then he says, they found other bodies, other guests have been killed. How many?..."a few". No wreckage shown but they show boats searching the ocean so presumably all the bodies were being found in the water.
November 25, 20223 yr I know what I liked about s1. We binged it. I’d rather just plow thru the last 3 eps.
November 28, 20223 yr Spoiler Is the gay guy’s villa the same place the two wives stayed at? I thought that was a different town (gay villa is in Palermo, no?) but it sure looks similar. Wondering if it’s all a grift to con Stiffler’s mom).

And today I'm down the YouTube Mina rabbit hole thanks to this song. I heard this on another TV show a while back, and the tune sounded incredibly familiar but I couldn't place it to save my life. Then I realized that it's a cover of a Gene McDaniels song I first heard while listening to oldies with my dad as a kid. I do think the Mina version is better, though.

The Girls were in Noto, the gay villa is in Palermo. There’s definitely a grift going on aimed at Tanya by the gay guys. Pretty sure the gay guys are the ones that either die or lead to the deaths from the opening scene (they were on a boat/coming back in 2 nights/there’s two episodes left). My wife showed me a theory on Reddit that saif Greg (Tanya’s husband) was the cowboy from Wyoming, and the gay guy is helping him now by offing Tanya so that Greg will inherit from her (I guess they assume the prenup doesn’t say he get nothing if she dies?). Goes kind of hand-in-glove with the gypsy fortune teller who apparently read Tanya’s fortune to say that she would commit suicide (and Tanya wondered aloud earlier if anyone had jumped from the hotel’s cliffs).
November 28, 20223 yr The minute the English gay guy started talking about how his weakness was beauty, I realized he was fucking his "nephew". At least I hope it's his "nephew" and not his actual nephew.

Wondering if it’s all a grift to con Stiffler’s mom). Wives went to Noto. This is Palermo. I like the theory that Greg is the unnamed Wyoming cowboy the Quentin talked about? But could be bullshit. Will Harper mosey into a threesome with Cam and Daphne? So other than Daphne, Valentina, and Rocco we still have no clue who dies. Two eps left. Just about everyone can be a victim and a murderer.

This is a very good list though it shows some recency bias. I move Lucia up to 3 though. I’ve had HBO since around 79. There have been some fantastic tits thru the years. I will volunteer to do the research.

November 29, 20223 yr Didn't the male escort guy let it slip at one point in the previous episode that the only people at the villa are gays and old women? Leads me to concur with the theory that Stifler's mom is being set up.
November 29, 20223 yr Right now cam owes her 1300 euros and Albie 4000, right. She’s gonna figure out a good solution for her by the end. Does Cam have the bucks to get?
