Anyone into the John Carney movies? I fucking love them. Great music. He also did one called On the Edge, which  is a bit darker, but still a good watch. 
 

Just rewatched Once tonight and it’s so good, especially for a low budget film. Begin Again is probably my favorite.

Another fan of his films here. I think I actually like Sing Street better than once. But I love the music from that era.

Yeah, big fan of his movies.  Sing Street got lost somehow, but is terrific.  

I haven't watched his Modern Love series.  Any reviews on that?

It was the title. Tim League w Drafthouse regretted not giving it more play because of it.

Tom Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow also had a generic cliche name and suffered at the box office, even though it was great.

Okay, obviously late to the party, since we just watched Begin Again last weekend.  I had thought to myself that it reminded me of Once but, until just now, had no idea they were directed by the same guy.  Really liked both, so will get Sing Street on the watch list for sure.
