August 30, 20214 yr Let's do this thing. Play begins at 10 am Monday. Men's draw Novak & the 127 dwarfs. Women's draw Barty is the most in-form, but we could get a surprise run similar to RG. Some interesting R1 matches... Burel/Tauson Cirstea/Kudermetova Raducanu/Brady Tomljanovic/Volynets Pironkova/Kasatkina Giorgi/Halep (fucking horrific draw for both)
August 30, 20214 yr Author Keys/Sloane, Vekic/Garbine, Giorgi/Simona all first on tomorrow. Yowza. Day 1 OoP
August 30, 20214 yr Novax is going to win on the mens side, and Barty was dominant on the US hard court summer swing so she has to be the favorite on the womens side. If Osaka's mental health is improved, I could see her being in the final as well.
August 30, 20214 yr Not a tennis guy at all but I might try and watch some for history's sake. Unless Djok somehow bows out early.
August 30, 20214 yr Halep finally broke thru in the 2nd set tiebreak. Too bad, Giorgi's kit was excellent

She had moved up into the 30s in rankings, but not quite high enough for a seed. She was playing at least at a 4th Round-Level, if not Quarterfinal-Level and then she drew Simona. Her mom makes her outfits, so a good run at the US Open would have been nice exposure for the family brand. That draw probably cost the family a quarter to a half of a million dollars in lost winnings and lost exposure. At 29 she was primed to make her deepest run ever at the US Open… and the she drew a well rested and healed Halep.
August 31, 20214 yr Tennis needs to enact a Tsitsipas Rule TODAY! That little Greek bitch keeps going to the bathroom to text his dad for instructions in between sets when he's losing... which is completely against the rules. This is the 4th match that he's done it in an obvious manner this year alone. Zverev complained about it during the final of the Western & Southern Open and mentioned the two previous times that he'd done it. Now Andy Murray has brought it up during and after his 5 set loss in the first round. FUCK THIS SHIT! PS- Naomi was hitting lasers within inches of the end line in the 2nd set and although Bouzkova continued to look very attractive in a esoteric painted image sort of way... from the shoulders up... (from the shoulders dow she appears to be drawn by a 6 year-old boy with a thing for slim rectangles), Naomi won in straight sets.
August 31, 20214 yr Guess I missed the news Jen Brady withdrew. That makes Coco Gauff the top ranked American in this year's draw at #21

Dude is an asshole and completely arrogant, not so hidden that he’s not super liked by many guys on tour
August 31, 20214 yr It’s a shame Korda had to retire today from an apparent leg injury. He should probably skip Indian Wells and shut it down until the Aussie swing
September 1, 20214 yr This Rune kid is hanging in there with Djok in the 2nd set. Novak doesn't seem super concerned but it's fairly entertaining.
September 1, 20214 yr This Rune kid is hanging in there with Djok in the 2nd set. Novak doesn't seem super concerned but it's fairly entertaining.I feel like I’ve seen this movie before, it almost always ends the same way. Hats off to the kid, he’s playing well.
September 1, 20214 yr On one hand, Bianca is fun to think what she’d be like… …on the other hand, I can’t stand her drama, so I would like her to lose. And I don’t even like her opponent.
September 1, 20214 yr I was just looking at the brackets and saw that Serena Williams withdrew due to a torn hamstring. I watched some of the Cressy match. That was fun.

September 2, 20214 yr Tsitsipas getting huge boos from the NY crowd after taking another very long bathroom break after losing the third set
September 2, 20214 yr Sloane looks like a graceful superhero at times recently and tonight was one of those times. She floats around the court and has deceptive power. It is like she hits the sweet spot of the racquet every time, so she doesn’t have to fight the ball, she just directs it at times. Tsitsipas continues to be a piece of shit. The crowd is firmly in Mannarini’s corner here in the start of the 4th set. Then Tsitsipas’ dad starts coaching from the crowd.
September 2, 20214 yr Something has happened to Mannarino. Maybe he pulled something in the last game, but I doubt that he finishes the set. Maybe something tightened up while Tsitsipas too 8 minutes to leave the court.
September 2, 20214 yr UPSET ALERT: Paula Badosa is looking like she's going down to "Vavara Gracheva" 82nd ranked Russian. Down 4-6 , 2-4 (down one break) with Gracheva serving.
September 2, 20214 yr So far a great day, Gael, Angie won, Nishikori still leads... and my girl Sorana leads early.
September 3, 20214 yr If Anisimova could pull off this 3rd set, I think it could get her career back on track.
September 3, 20214 yr Damn, Anisimova just hasn't been able to buy a big win since her dad's passing.

September 3, 20214 yr Azarenka and Mugurutha on serve in the 3rd on ESPN. And Chrissie just asked if we saw her bust.

September 3, 20214 yr 18-year-old Spaniard Alcaraz takes the first set off public enemy number one. I can see the 15 minute shit building from here.
September 3, 20214 yr 12 minutes ago, WBT said: 18-year-old Spaniard Alcaraz takes the first set off public enemy number one. I can see the 15 minute shit building from here. Alcaraz is doing well, Tsitsipas is moving gingerly, and the kid is up a break in the 2nd set as well. Tsitsipas called the trainer out, but he hurt something approaching the net in the previous game. It's either his foot (blisters) or a muscle in his leg. I feel fairly strongly that he's going to lose. I don't think that he will be able to overcomes _______ and get back in the match. And the crowd definitely wants the kid to win.
