Let me apologize. We're at a complete impasse here. My initial comment depends on more context than simply reading what someone has wrote online. I now see how it could be interpreted either way.
Apologies man. You're all good.
What I meant to ask was "Is this going to be the biggest final that we've seen in a long time?"
Ah, got it.

This one's important in that djoker has his calendar year slam on the line. Other than that there's not much other interest (opponent, significant milestone, maybe 9/11?). I guess it does put Novak one away from both Rafa and Roger in slam titles.

The last big final was prob the french last year when Rafa beat Djoker, but that was weird bc it was in October in a chilly and rainy Paris and there weren't fans. But Rafa matched Roger's grand slam titles there so it was big. And of course the matchup was a must see.

First time two melting pot teenage girls born in Canada have ever faced off in a Grans Slam Final.

[Did not look that up, but it’s probably true.]

Tuning in to watch this semi final. Haven't done that in years. The amount of pressure on djokovic is unreal. 21st major AND first  calander grand slam since rod laver. Not even Federer had the calendar grand slam. Immense pressure.

[Steffi Graf laughs about having won TWO Calendar Grand Slams AND an Olympic Gold Medal BEFORE she even reached her 30s…

…as Andre Agassi rubs her feet while flying on their private jet to NYC to take in Saturday’s & Sunday’s Finals.]

Quality start for Emma.  Leylah looks a little out of sorts.

This has been fantastic tennis.  Can’t believe how solid Emma had stayed.  Leylah will bring her game up this next set I suspect.

This segment better fucking not be about tennis.

No disrespect

Wouldn’t bother me but I suspect I am a lone voice on this one.

2 match points wasted.  Medical timeout is going to be bad.

Impressed how both ladies cover the court.

Awesome!  Happy for Emma after whatever happened with Wimbledon.

Losing ZERO sets from qualies on is pretty fucking sick.

That's incredible.

She admitted she wasn’t ready for it.  This is maybe the most amazing story in sport right now, but then again WTA.

Fernandez is just upset about the medical timeout? I don’t understand. Maybe it’s just a vent for her frustration?

Yeah that’s bullshit.  She had blood running down her leg.

Leylah got outplayed.  It happens .

Thanks. I didn’t have the audio on and thought I missed something. Amazing run by both of these women. I love the new talents that have emerged on both sides.

i really don't want novak to win tomorrow.  that is all.

If Medvedev gets this second break in the third set, it’s church.

Yeah this looks like straight sets. Too many miscues from Djok.

Just now, Jive Turkey said:

Fuck. Novak saves one break. Fans threw Medvedev off.

Yeah that was shitty.

To be fair - this is kind of historical. But let the guy serve ffs.

No fucking way he does this.

Right?

Djoker doesn't have the legs for 5 sets.   But he's got some mojo working now.

Wife and I went to the tournament 20 years ago.  Still have a souvenir cup, though the print has washed off: "August 27 to September 9"

I still have my honey deuce cup somewhere. Best annual souvenir you can get from the Open tbh
