Wisc keeps missing tackles… not something I’m used to seeing from them

Those have been some critical mistakes that could’ve gotten their defense off the field. Then they also had a missed FG and a turnover in the red zone. If they lose the game then it’s their own fault.

not watching, but is this game as boring and shitty as the score makes it look?

contact was into the shoulder

the crown of his helmet went right into the earhole. i mean, it's textbook.

that's not targeting
It is or it isn't, especially after the Minnesota game. It's bs that the hit looks like it may or may not check every box for the rule and it may or may not be called. Such a terribly enforced rule

It is dumb that’s ejection-level.

i agree with this, and so does the booth. 15 yards, if he does it again, then maybe yeah, see you.

I think targeting should be split into two penalties... Targeting and spearing. Targeting would still be defenseless player, head or neck area, blah blah blah - and then spearing would be like us older guys know it as leading with the crown of the helmet. Would clear up a lot of confusion.

There is a need for ejection-level PF, but it shouldn’t be automatic or specific to a certain specific type of hit.

I agree with Klatt.  Ejection is stupid.  Should be 15 yards and done.

yep.

since it was in the second half, he has to sit the first half of the next game, too, right? just bullshit, imo.

Lulz, I was about to post that Penn State needs to let them score on the 1st and goal play to give themselves plenty of time for a final drive.  I guess now they'll have to go for the stop.

EDIT - and now Klatt is stealing my material.

Shouldn't even be 15 yards. This is the same as a QB slide IMO. QB's can draw a foul by trying to get every little bit more yardage and dropping at the last possible instant. It places defenders in an impossible position and it's BS. QB should be responsible for sliding sooner, or stepping out of bounds sooner instead of continuing upfield along the sideline trying to get that first down.

Wow, what a catch!

Obvious pass interference not called.

Dumb timeout for Wisconsin.  Man up and pick a play.  You need all 3 timeouts in case you don't score.

omfg.... then the badgers blow a TO.   with 2:26 left and 3 TO on the 8 you are OK to not convert here.  but using that last TO means you are fucked if you dont score

It’s been sloppy and ugly and a little bit of just bad offense, but it’s been fun so far..
