September 5, 20214 yr Popular Post Hudson Card - troof Bijan - Everything Defense - Legit Offensive Line - WIP #BurntEnds
September 5, 20214 yr Had our first BurntEnds TD, Sarks first win, Whit balls out, and Bijan setting career highs in multiple usage categories
September 5, 20214 yr Popular Post Didn’t get to watch, did listen while shooting Whitewing. Enjoyed every minute of both. The game was better than most expected and the fretters could imagine, but exactly where we should and need to be. let’s gorilla buttfuck arky now Pro tip. AirPods aren’t bad earplugs. Edited September 5, 20214 yr by Teamdirtyleg
September 5, 20214 yr Cars looks really promising. Made some nice throws. Looked good when he had to use his legs. JWhitt needs to get the ball. Robinson (the other one) looks dangerous. He’s gonna break backs when he comes in fresh after Bijan and Roshon have worn down the defense. Bijan looks like Bijan.
September 5, 20214 yr First game with new coaches and new system. Can't wipe the stink of the last decade off immediately. We seem to be heading in the right direction.

September 5, 20214 yr Popular Post unseeable by brando: 1. our ostensibly weakest room, the receivers, had a huge day they caught the damn ball on big downs no dropsies, solid routes, tough catches just off the ground whittington with 7, the other guys combined for 6, plus brewer burnt TD 2. coaching totally ready and aware for the onside kick stuck with the gameplan situational awareness on play calling
September 5, 20214 yr Popular Post 20 point win over a ranked team? Celebrate yall, that was a good game.
September 5, 20214 yr Anyone got insight on what the deal was with the redhead kid on the sideline? Sark seemed a bit miffed.
September 5, 20214 yr Just happy with a decisive win. When I get home I’ll watch it DVR’d but it sounded more than acceptable as a win all things considered.B
September 5, 20214 yr Game never really seemed in doubt after the 1st quarter. Card looks cool, calm, confident and in control. It will get harder but he seems poised. Bijon as expected, but he needs help. O-Line has a lot of work to do, but did move the LOS a few times. Whittington.....finally! Worthy is gonna be a beast. We have effective running backs blowing out our ass. Team will lose to OU. Iowa St. is a toss up.

September 5, 20214 yr Brando is an all time thundercunt. Never seen a stick stuck further up a commentator’s ass than the one he has for UT. Did Jamison get hurt? I don’t think I saw him out there in the second half and seemed like we were getting a lot of Barron. Sorry if already discussed, been drinking.
September 5, 20214 yr Author Popular Post This is a big boy coaching staff. Had the team ready for the surprise on-side. Deferred correctly. Defense never panicked. Offense worked around OL issues.

September 5, 20214 yr Popular Post I put this in another thread so not sorry if already posted: Bijan Robinson 176 yards from scrimmage the most in a Texas opener since 2009. Hook'em.

September 5, 20214 yr What was the story with Sark ripping into that red headed assistant? He was visibly pissed and sark said something like shut the fuck up.
September 5, 20214 yr Popular Post 4 minutes ago, Pig Bellmont said: That OL is going to be an issue. Okafor got worked all game Okafor wasn't the only one. Christian Jones doesn't look like a strength at left tackle, either, especially in pass blocking. To focus on the OL is being a little churlish. Watching Mack Brown's UNC team get absolutely destroyed on the line of scrimmage reminded me how many years (aka decades) we've had terrible offensive lines, with a few exceptions. So many positives outside of that. Playcalling met expectations. Especially with no interior consistent running game available. That slow developing outside run to the right in the first half wasn't my favorite. You know, Jeff Banks gets his dick sucked so much, it's been tough to buy in. But the kickoff receiving team was mentally ready for the onsides. The first punt return was electric outside of the penalties. The second return where he put Worthy on the field alongside Jamison to defend better against the rugby punt which led to an 18 yard return - it's all a sign of really good preparation, leadership and tactical awareness. I don't know what to think about it. It's like we have signs of a great coaching staff. I haven't seen a Texas defense be so consistent in stopping 3rd and short since...Muschamp? Louisiana was not a chump offense. It's only the first game, but really nice opener. Skill position players look like a strength for sure. Loved seeing Whittington show. He's so strong. I believe we've only scratched the surface of what he's capable of. Anyone heard anything about D'Shawn Jamison? They don't look dominant, but that's okay. They looked really solid in all areas. Well prepared. Well coached, with room to improve. I'd say every area of the team at least met expectations, with the overall performance exceeding them considerably. This game showed a lot to build on. Bring on Arkansas.
September 5, 20214 yr Author Was Alfred Collins out there? I don't remember seeing him and I definitely don't remember hearing his name called.
September 5, 20214 yr When Sark said we had two good QBs he was not lying. Saw JWhit with some vicious blocking effort. 3 minutes ago, nycHorn said: What was the story with Sark ripping into that red headed assistant? He was visibly pissed and sark said something like shut the fuck up. For some reason I was imagining him saying "Make sure nobody gatorades me after beating fucking ULaLa." Or maybe that's the "Get back!" coach. edit: My other impression I should note is that Louisiana looks like a well coached team who may well win the rest of their games. September 5, 20214 yr i'm glad i didn't let Lobo scare me off completely 😄...ingress/egress in the NE corner was just fine, our section wasn't too crowded, and a bandana worked as both a face covering and sunblock lol. first series was alarming but man, they shook it off - this is how we're supposed to win these games 🤘 we did have to fold our cards at the end of the third though...it occurred to me that 10 years ago we used to take the kids/grandkids to the Riverwalk and Six Flags and stuff in August when they'd come down and the heat and sun barely bothered us...this was pretty much the same but our ages sure feel different 😋 so many people dressed insanely for a game in this heat - yikes. saw 7 different people being attended to by medics. heat was brutal, not gonna lie. EZ looks rad af and i can't wait to see it during a night game. i'm glad we went...now, i got a covid test to pass in the next 10 days 🤔 bring on the Sark era!! HOOK 'EM 🤘
September 5, 20214 yr The o-line is a problem - but we might actually have coaches who can teach and improve skills. Card can zip a damn football - he didn’t really have any bad throws and didn’t make any horribad decisions. Good start. Lots to build on, and Sark is a QB whisperer. Bijan is god and a Heisman-worthy back. RoJo is my favorite player, just a rockstar who balls. Defense will be very good. Lafayette is a better team than pig. Shit, Cajun is a better team than at least 1/4 the Big 12. Edited September 5, 20214 yr by The Ace of Aces
