The beauty of this year's team is Dylan can be on a short leash. If he can't hit shots, he can be benched for a pretty wide range of possibilities. Long if we need shooting. Hepa or Hayes if we need inside defensive presence.

Hayes won't be put out there at the same time as Sims very much, it would murder offensive spacing. Also, Hepa can shoot better than your statement seems to imply.

Laughably hyper-critical. We had serious injury adversity last year and still made the dance and finished .500 in the toughest conference in America. Take the Barnes dick out of your mouth for a

You are such a beating. Glad you are so excited about his struggles in an all star game. You foaming at the mouth wanting Shaka to fail as some sort of fucked up Rick Barnes tribute is beyond tired.

Nothing terribly insightful to add here except that when I wake up tomorrow, it'll be basketball season.

Shaka has his media availability at 11 Central today.

Isn't that the same time as Herman's new week press conference?

Herman has his at noon.

from what i've gathered on sims it appears that he's still going to be a guy who is invisible for long stretches of time and still has a ways to go before he is a consistent contributor.

That's not good, Osetkowski was a horrible rebounder last year. Worst percentage of his career.

Nice set up. No true road games until conference play begins.

Eastern Illinois is supposed to be terrible. #302 in KenPom, and something like the 7th best team with "Illinois" in its name. The spread is Texas -23.5.

Pumped for Texas Basketball to be back and also to see the "fire Shaka" thread bumped after the first two missed shots of the season or Texas not being ahead 35-4.

Damn I love you guys, even you derka(goo punch). Ready for a great season of Bitching and moaning from the best group of asswads ever.

Hook Em!

I'm still expecting a slow start with a healthy serving of clanks in front of a sparse crowd. Looking forward to Andrew Jones being in uniform, regardless of whether he plays.

Haven't seen anything about Osetkowski aside from what Inside Texas reported, so I'll assume he's a go.

yeah i expect the same thing. hoping that by the second half once everyone has gotten their feet wet that we get a chance to really see our new offense flowing and in action.

What do you think the starting lineup will look like with Snoop out?

Beat guess:

Coleman

Ramey

Long

DO

Sims

I would be surprised to see Liddell starting even though he fills out a more traditional starting 5.

I think Liddell is super raw and would be surprised to see him outside spot minutes. He's probably the boom-bust player of this signing class.

I think that's bout right. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see Febres over Long or Ramey.

Febres starts.. wager anyone?

Yeah, Ferbes is starting over Ramey. Though those 4 guards are getting all the playing time in the backcourt, minus a few minutes per half for Jones.

I know Febres has been here longer, but i ultimately ser Ramey having a bigger role at Texas than Febres. Jase needs to focus on knocking down threes and playing that role for us. Ramey will be more versatile and more valuable long term.
