Matthew McConaughey is pretty good at playing himself, or a least the version of himself that he wants us to think is himself. He is also good at playing other roles.

Sean Connery as....whatever the fuck he wants to be....

Billy Idol plays a great Billy Idol in Wedding Singer.

Re: Zoolander and Billy Zane, I'm amused at David Bowie's appearance in that movie too.  Natalie Portman plays a wonderful Natalie Portman too because who doesn't love an excuse to see Natalie Portman.

I think it’s you.

I think he was being facetious in that Sean Connery just plays himself in every movie.

think again dipshit

I can't remember her name, but she was a smoking hot blonde using a pink dild....oh wait a sec, I accidentally read the word "with" in the title. Sorry, everyone, ignore me. I'll go post this in the appropriate forum.

That would make sense if it was true. The problem is that it’s so not true. The assertion that it is true is preposterous. It doesn’t even deserve a debate and you should be embarrassed by suggesting otherwise.

Bret Fav...er...a in Something about Mary.

He was slightly less horrible than Dan Marino in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

The celebrity cameos in Entourage usually did a solid job. Bob Saget, Matt Damon, Larry David, Ralph Macchio, Gary Busey, Johnny Galecki . . . . They usually played a satire of themselves.

And Ray Romano and Eminem in this scene from Funny People.

Can we all agree that Bob Uecker was really playing Bob Uecker in Major League?

Keanu as Keanu in that Key and Peele movie.  Especially funny when after their first take, they asked him to "Keanu it up".

Matt Leblanc playing a stylized caricature of himself in Episodes

hes basically trying to show hes not Joey throughout the whole series.  and instead is kind of a jerk.

Glad I'm not sick

Also is that a SWA logo on Bob's cardigan???

You want celebrities playing themselves? Watch the Larry Sanders Show. Okay, they weren’t exactly playing themselves. They were appearing as themselves, but as caricatures of themselves. Or jokes of themselves. And there was probably some truth to it because that’s what makes good comedy.

Show me one movie where Owen Wilson doesn't have his hands in his sleeves and make the same mannerisms over and over again while being just vaguely funny and I'll die of shock.  I love the films he's in, and I love that's a Longhorn, but he's the least funny comedic actor of all time.  He's Owen Wilson in every movie.  And that's not a good thing.

He also suggested Connery can do whatever the fuck he wants because he was James Bond. Maybe you should save your lectures for the Ohio St thread debating if knocking QBs in the head is a penalty or not.

He was different in Bottle Rocket than he was in that Jackie Chan movie.   But I tend to think they hire him to be a similar character.  You hire Christian Bale if you want an actor.

Patrick Stewart in "Extras".

I’ll take him every day and twice on Sunday over Will Ferrell, who plays the same unfunny guy in every damn movie. At least Wilson has Longhorn pedigree and a crooked nose to add to his character.
