In looking at that box score on ESPN, holy shit.

14 players had a rush attempt.

18 players caught a pass.

9 players caught a touchdown pass.

6 XPs on 12 touchdowns. So, they went for 2 points 6 times, and given the score, I assume they converted 3 of 6.

Dude had 3 different QBs making pass attempts as well.

Obviously they wern't playing Georgia (or Bama). But, next year the Fighting Camels should be much better.

Well that settles that. Maybe you can dominate Arkansas 3A with that strategy but it won’t work against real football teams.

The more I think about it the dumber the onside kick thing is. The rules are so slanted against the kicking team and the odds are so low it’s not worth it outside of the end of the game or a surprise situation.

All of the posts in this thread made in September mocking Kansas did not hold up well.

Yeah with a team that offers no athletic scholarships…in his first year

That was doomed to fail from the start. At his HS in Arky he had the system set up where 7th graders on day 1 of practice from his feeder junior highs played in this system. By the time they got to HS they were already masters of playing ball this way.

In college you don't get that. Have to take kids who never play this way and try to get them to do it, and of course the first time they lost a game some players turned on him and started bad mouthing it on social media. Without total buy in over years time something like that can never work.

Does he also use punt block for every down on defense?

Played a madden tourney one time years ago and a kid lined up in FG block on the last drive where I was just killing the clock.
