Yeah , a couple good scenes were the glow in the dark condom shots and then when we wakes up and opens the door to the "jazzercise" session with the blanket wrapped around him.

This one rarely gets much love, but it's among my favorite Coen Bros. movies.

The Whole Nine Yards

Peak Matthew Perry in top physical comedy form. Peak scorching hot Natasha Henstridge. Topless Amanda Peet. Rosanna Arquette playing hot and crazy. Bruce Willis hamming it up. Good supporting cast and a funny script.

Unfortunately the sequel sucked.

Fuck, it’s 20 years old now, but I don’t know a whole lot of people that have seen this one. I thought it was funny as hell.

I think there is the usual confusion between underrated and under appreciated.

Big Trouble in Little China flopped at the box office. When I saw it in the theater, I was amazed that it wasn't killing it. I don't recall the reviews, but I see that it's got a so-so rating in IMDB and Rotten tomatoes.

It also seems to have a cult following (clearly brilliant people of good taste and likely good-looking).

So where do you put this movie?

Heaven's Gate is underrated, IMHO.

Johnny Be Good?  Thought it did a good job at capturing the various school stereotypes (including Ole Tex).  Anthony Michael Hall, Robert Downey Jr was his backup.

This one is so good and under appreciated I just had to go ahead and put it here.  Duvall and Dern at their finest.

In the underappreciated category:

Margin Call. Movie about the 2008 financial crisis. Just a bunch of people talking, but really good writing and acting. Amazing cast with Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Demi Moore, Stanley Tucci, etc. I think they all did it pro bono because the budget was $3.5M. The film only grossed $19.5M. It's on Amazon Prime now. Go watch it.

Thank You for Smoking. Tobacco lobbyist with an identity crisis. Only grossed $39M worldwide. Jason Reitman wrote this and Up in the Air. Solid comedy. Another awesome cast with Aaron Eckhart, Sam Elliott, Ron Lowe, Katie Holmes, Maria Bello, William H Macy, Robert Duvall and JK Simmons. Sometimes I wonder if the cast does this for free after they read the script.

Up in the Air. George Clooney flying around the country laying people off and having an identity crisis. Vera Farmiga (dat ass), Jason Bateman, Anna Kendrick, Sam Elliott, Danny McBride, Zach Galiwishhisnamewaseasiertopronounce and JK Simmons.

JK Simmons should be in everything.

Wonder Boys. Great cast and fun to watch. Curtis Hanson at work.

These two do not at the common movie experience table but they should be.

Exotica. Canadian thriller by Atom Egoyan.

Aftersun.  Charlotte Wells directed this daughter’s reflection of her and her father on vacation.

  • Dell: Bruce Lee ain't dead you know. They got him krytonized down in Chatsworth, he's jammed in a silo and he's frozen hard as a carp . And they're gonna melt him down as soon as the economy gets better.
