Pitt with some GD-style sideways passing goes 3 and out on their first drive

And Tenn blocks the punt.  1st and goal from the 2.

#14 that blocked it came unblocked straight up the gut.  The way punt formations are so spread out these days, I don't know why you don't see more of that.  It doesn't seem very sound to me.

And Tenn punches it in for the TD.

holy shit this fucking Tenn QB cant fucking throw the ball for shit.

I mean he can THROW the ball, but he cant hit a wideopen receiver.   He keeps overthrowing them by 8-12 yards.  its not even CLOSE

lol at announcer..

THEY WONT CATCH HIM!

literally .25 seconds later, they caught him.

Pitt just ran a fleaflicker and pulled ahead 14-13.

TD Pitt.  3 minutes wasted on a review for some reason.  19 seconds left in the half and they pull ahead 27-20.

So glad Pitt went back to those color schemes.

Another Pitt TD.  41-27 with 12 minutes left.

SEC is an absolute shitshow outside Bama/Georgia..and whoever steps up for 3rd place.

Tenn just bailed out with a defensive PI call on what should have been offensive PI

Pitt stuff them on 4th and 1 inside the Pitt 5.  41-34 Pitt with ~7 minutes left.

Pitt gets it back on an INT.  Now about 5 minutes left and Tennessee only has 1 timeout.

Pitt wins it 41-34.  TheySposedtobeSEC.jpg

I just don't understand Mark Whipple and his play calling to start games, and coming out of halftime. The side to side stuff is such crap, especially when we have a QB that can throw the ball down the field. As the game wore on we did throw down the field, and it worked.

The kids deserve credit for withstanding the early onslaught. Tennessee made some big plays, Pitt made more. The lack of a running game is frustrating. I am not certain that it is just an unwillingness, or lack of interest, to run the ball with power. When the clock needed run down at the end our backs did move the sticks running.

It was not a perfect game but, it was a win. The defense gets after the QB, five sacks today, a couple fumble recoveries and an INT, plus, a 4th down stop from the one.

We have a chance to pretty good, not great but, pretty good.

Last week before the game in the booth the AD was there, along with the fellow who gave the $20-million donation, and I made sure to mention to the fellow about how beautiful our uniforms look in the light of day, and wondered why we would ever make a change. I made sure to be loud enough for the AD to hear me.
