September 12, 20214 yr I guess we need somewhere to discuss this season of bullshit. 14-0 over Jax..enjoy it while you can. These type of leads will be far and few between. Fuck B'oB and Cal.
September 12, 20214 yr Lulz at Culley. You stop them on 3rd down to force a long FG attempt but you accept a holding penalty instead. Then rough the passer and give up a long TD pass. Absolutely a dumb fucking decision from a guy that should never be making those decisions. Though Strong’s defense is looking as good as it did at Texas year 2+.
September 12, 20214 yr Tyrod, dare I say, looks pretty damn good. I didn’t want to like this team because of the ineptness of the organization but they’re scrappy. Of course they’re playing a rookie qb and first time HC
September 12, 20214 yr Indianapolis and Tennessee look like warmed shit too. Both getting blown out at home.

September 12, 20214 yr LOL first place! Maybe a couple weeks of bad play by some of the Watson suitors will make them willing to roll the dice on suspension risk andpull the trigger to win this year. Philly did well with Hurts, so they’re probably standing pat. Maybe the Dolphins, Redskins, Falcons, or Broncos. The Panthers won but it didn’t sound like Darnold was a world beater.
September 13, 20214 yr Man, the talent on this roster is in the 2-3 lowest in the league, if not the worst. Having said that, this team looked well-coached today - no excessive penalties, had some creative play calling, no horrible busted coverages, etc. I don’t expect shit from this team, but honestly Culley rolled a more prepared team out there today than fuckwad BOB did the last 5 season openers….

Nice rebound from that first possession three and out.Pharaoh Brown looked great today btw.
September 13, 20214 yr I would like to see Tyrod Taylor do well. He looked good today. What happened to him last year was fucked up.
September 13, 20214 yr Maybe Culley is a Mack Brown type for the Texans, an awe shucks guy at the top that delegates. They looked like a football team with potential in spite of their lack of talent. If only they could play the Jags and Jets for the next 16 games.

That much was clear after he accepted the holding penalty after a 3rd down stop. You are up 14-0, and Jacksonville has to attempt a long FG.

Eh, don’t you have to trust your defense to (a) hold on 3rd and 19 and (b) not commit a stupid fucking penalty that had nothing to with the defensive effort at all? That would have turned a 47 yard FG into a 57 yard FG. Cullee may well be a dipshit, but overall I thought he did a good job yesterday. We’re still going to end up in the top 3 of the draft, I’d just rather not go through a season of 50-0 games to get there…

I questioned it in real time just because I'm conditioned to expect the worst possible result for the Texans and would rather just let them kick a manageable FG attempt but pushing them back another ten yards and into extreme FG range and 3rd and 19 is honestly what 99% of NFL coaches would do. Seems like picking nits imo.
September 13, 20214 yr On the road home from Fayetteville, I was seriously considering the fact that I might need a new hobby. Then the gates to the Yellow Lot opened at 8AM. The beer started flowing in me. The weather was quite nice for mid-September. The Texans kick some Jaguar ass. All seems well in the world. Bernard Edited September 13, 20214 yr by Bernard

September 19, 20214 yr Wow, what a giant pussy Culley is. Declines a offsides to punt from midfield, after the play nets 14 yards on a 3rd and 15.
September 19, 20214 yr I was no fan of the Culley hiring. But from a scheme and execution standpoint this team is very well coached. That screen pass TD was executed beautifully. Neither King Bill not that fucking idiot Mike Devlin could ever get our offense to execute like that. Give Coach Culley his due. I still hate Easterby and Cal. As long as they put out team I can root I can forget about them. I can root for this team. Edited September 19, 20214 yr by Macklemore
September 19, 20214 yr This team seems disciplined and focused. I don’t want to have to cheer for them because of the shit owners but damn they seem solid.
September 19, 20214 yr Tim Kelley is calling a great game, but it helps that Taylor understands when to run. Big TD on 3rd down. Watson likely would have stayed in the pocket and taken the sack.

September 19, 20214 yr WTF were the refs doing there? No TD sign at all. Oh, and Fuck Baker Mayfield.
September 19, 20214 yr WTF Mills is starting the 3rd Qtr. what the hell is going on? Tyrod wasn’t hurt. Edited September 19, 20214 yr by Macklemore
September 19, 20214 yr what happened to taylor ? BoB was a horrible coach with a bad staff, that much is evident in game 2 of the 2021 season

September 19, 20214 yr Okay what is going on with all the injuries? Seems like nearly every play right now.

September 19, 20214 yr Usual disclaimer about the lack of talent on this roster and the dumpster fire that is the front office. The playcalling has been really solid both games. Lots of effective motion/misdirection, looks a lot less predictable than years past…
September 19, 20214 yr Up until the half time injuries, the Texans looked like a pretty decent team. Lots of great play calls, hard running, hard hitting. It was refreshing to watch. (and I actually found myself staying and watching)
September 20, 20214 yr I can't find it anywhere now but saw a video yesterday speculating Taylor may have blown his ACL, and unfortunately looked plausible to me. If that's true I'd set the over/under at total wins this season at 1.5 barring DW somehow playing Edited September 20, 20214 yr by Dennis Taylor
September 20, 20214 yr It’s a hamstring issue, no knee (at least until the medical staff breaks out the hardware). He’s listed as day-to-day, but no reason to play him at all. I’m OK with giving Mills some more trial by fire….
September 23, 20214 yr The weather for tonight’s game will be perfect. Clear, 76 degrees, low humidity. Guess what? ROOF CLOSED What a joke! The county and taxpayers should demand a rebate of the $50M that the retractable roof cost.
September 23, 20214 yr Yeah they didn't do the maintenance on the roof so they are scared to open it, it will get stuck open. The franchise is shit-tier and I hope they send the team to another state like the spoilers. Fuck the Toxins. Pass on VY and forever I'll hate ya. I wanted to root for Watson so bad but the Toxins turned into into a rub n tug predator I guess.
