He didn’t seem to care last time.

Hope he isn’t neutered …

I was taking the cold open only. I think Burr will do his usual shtick and make fun of the extreme ends of both sides. He’s very in the center. Almost certainly why he got this gig the Saturday after the election.

Yeah, Eddie's imitation of Tracy Morgan standing next to Tracy Morgan was next level.

Which is good. The rest of SNL, especially weekend update, will be trashing the right as normal, and in morning.

Don’t mind a guy who’s not afraid to take jabs at both.

He's a comedian.

That's it.

I felt like the audience wasn't really in the mood for Burr's brand of comedy in the monologue.

They will be next week for Brat Summer!

I loved the monologue. The female guitarist that plays the white guitar never once cracked a smile. She was not amused. Other band members were laughing.

Other than tits, worst/shortest monologue in recent memory? The Please Don’t Destroy Allstate commercial was much funnier.

Charli XCX has been way better in the sketches than I ever would’ve guessed. This second song is an auto-tuned mess.

Sigh, why is Dana Carvey still hanging around? The Church Lady sketch was brutally unfunny despite having ample material to use. They brought Spade back for that piece of shit sketch.

Pretty forgettable episode. Every joke was about how some unknown actor is really hot.

Chris Rock has a very weird vibe right now. Those writing meetings must have been a blast. Rock writing each sketch, and making every single joke about race is a move.

That was rough. I like Sarah Sherman more than I do most of my family, and I couldn't get through that cold open.

This was the worst episode in years.

Agreed. That was a beating, and I usually let SNL get away with some shit. No Do Not Destroy. It was missed.

Was there a joke swap?

There's a new episode this week, so I assume it will happen then.

WTF happened to Chris Rock?  I just watched that episode.  Painful.

Getting slapped did a number on him? Dunno.

I mean this with all sincerity but...is it possible he had a minor, undisclosed stroke?

His acting has always been rough, but that was...something.

Oh I thought this was the last one.  Thanks.

It was not good. Rock still has a young voice, but his body is aging terribly.

Ah man, when did Tom Hanks get old old?

Made the same comment to my wife. COVID did a number on him.

When he stopped taking adrenochrome?

Also, I now realize I missed a lot of SNL in the 2000s/2020s.

Like this.

Excellent choice going with Martin Short. Everyone brought their A Game. WU Joke Challenge was a 10.

weekend update needs to be 10-15 min long to make up for all of the wasted time they do either laughing or stalling to tell the next joke.

and for more updates

I chuckled about 4 times during skits....which is 4 times more than usual.

Weekend update was a good time after the musical that is Bowen Yang gtfo.

Martin Short definitely elevated the entire cast. That and all the A listers showing up.

Was hoping for Steve Martin to pop in.

Martin Short is quietly one of the funnier working guys still that might be relatively obscure to the GenZ/Alpha generation.

Thought this week’s was pretty damn funny. Melissa McCarthy stole the cars skit.
