The Farley song was touching. Every time Spade, Sandler, and Meadows discuss him, you can tell how much they miss him. He sounds like he was a hell of a guy and a good person. RIP.

Yeah, Eddie's imitation of Tracy Morgan standing next to Tracy Morgan was next level.

I guess those garbage movies he does make money? They probably cost no more than a couple mil to make if even that and I guess he makes 2 to 3 a year now.
He's the new Roger Corman just on a bigger scale.

I’m not sure how any Netflix movie “makes money”, since there are no box office or rental fees. Netflix makes $, spending what they choose and what they think the content is worth.

And he is constantly ridiculed by the industry, but shit...I can’t think of any “mean things said by others” that wouldn’t be worth that kind of $.

The melody to the Farley song sounded to me like a ripoff of a Springsteen song that I can't quite put my finger on. Was I hearing things?

Thought it was  a pretty solid episode.  I haven't really watched in a while, but tuned in for the nostalgia of Sandler.  Definitely loved him doing the Farley song.

Side Note:  How often does SNL recycle skits?  I know they do, but I remember watching the other night that I had seen the "Last Call" skit before.  I looked it up on youtube and found about 8 different versions of it and each one had almost the exact same script with a few slight changes.

The last call skit has been around since 2012. They've done it 8 times.

Emma Thompson repeatedly bitchslapping  and beating the shit out of Leslie Jones may be the favorite thing I've seen on SNL.

Season 44 finale tonight. Paul Rudd hosting.

Pretty solid episode so far. Time travel skit had me rollin.

I honestly have no idea what he does dude from say "make some noise" a lot.

Never listened to DJ Khaled before. Now I know why. My question is why is he so popular? All he did was shout some monotone phrases, many out of time and intro other actual singer/rappers. He has search histories?

The Judge Jeanine bit on the Weekend Update was hilarious.

“Thank you, Keenan.”

I didn't laugh much at the finale, despite Rudd being such a good host. Most sketches were pretty paint-by-numbers, safe for a little chuckle. Still think it's a great, deep cast and they'll get better each year even if some people leave for whatever reason.

This was the best McKinnon has ever been in the scientist/abductee exit interview skits.  And that's saying something.

The View was done pretty well.

Rest of it was very meh, after they hit a decent little late-season stride there for a few weeks.

SNL just added a University of Texas grad to the cast of it's upcoming season.  Andrew Dismukes.

Odd flow between baldwin and carey. Carey's good though.

I disagree....Carrey is bad. He can only play one character. Who thought that was a good idea?Usually SNL is good at debates but not this one.

Is Carey doing The Mask as Joe Biden? The guy is washed, but hey the same can be said of Alex Baldwin.

Sudeikis is the best Biden. Lorne should have politely begged him to return.

Did chris rock reverse age? He looks like a younger, thinner, less masculine leslie jones.

What the fuck is this? I feel like I’m watching a Univision variety show.

There’s no shortage of Biden material and Carey is talented, but that was really awful. The Mask smile totally ruins it

I didn’t care for Carey’s Biden. Makeup looked too much like burned fireman on Living Color. Bring back Sudeikis or Woody.

Joe Biden isn't very animated. At all. His face barely moves when he speaks. So having the most animated person in history play him is kind of a strange choice. They should challenge Jim to be as motionless as possible next time.

Colbert does a better Biden.

This has been awful.

I hadn’t watched in 10 years until last night. Fuck that show is terrible.

Iedda Puthie was funny.

Funniest sketch of the night-the list of names, the back and forth between the anchor and reporter, greatness.

I liked his monolog, but Chris Rock phoned in the rest.  Directly reading from the teleprompter every skit.  Disappointing.  Name change skit was the best of the night.

Haven't they done some variation of the "disaster at the name changing office" skit a few times recently? I mean, it's funny in a "Hehe, they said clit on network TV" kind of way, but it still feels a little lazy.

Agreed. And does anyone really enjoy Megan Thee Stallion's music? Got damn that was awful.

The NBA draft was probably the worst skit I've seen in some time.

I'm literally watching a zoom right now from the LBJ School/Library.  And the current moderator is named Doctor Michael Hole.  And he apparently goes by either Doc Hole or Mikey Hole.

I still think of SNL WU years ago when Dennis Miller says something about Senate Dick Lugar reverting back to his birth name, "Cock Beretta"

Bill Burr this week. Hopefully they get it back on track.

Cold open was awful. Carey is washed. There’s a reason he hasn’t been in a movie in a very long time. Lorne will just roll with it though. He’d rather be wrong than admit he’s wrong.

Burr’s monologue is of course awesome.

That open was horrible and terribly written. Burr’s monologue was funny, but if you’ve seen him perform in the last couple of years, that was largely reworked bits he’s been doing live for awhile. Let’s see where this goes.

How do all these people sit around and think this shit is funny? You’d think they’d be able to put one decent skit together.

Never seen a drum kit set up like that.

White is an emergency fill in for Morgan Whalen. Whalen was probably jammed down their throats by The Voice producers, but he broke SNL Covid protocol.

But yes, Jack White was awesome.

Kate McKinnon smoking a fake pipe and doing weird voices is funny? I wouldn’t laugh if they were paying me (they are paying the audience).

McKinnon is better than what they’re giving her.
