May 29, 20223 yr Birdie at #11 for Spieth... Back to -5 4 birdies, but unfortunately 4 bogeys Needs field to really back up for any chance
May 29, 20223 yr Scottie bogeys #6. -10 and tied for lead Spieth... Terrible approach shot from middle of the fairway 110yds out on hole #12... ends up 37ft away from hole. Leaves next putt 4ft short -- just all over the place right now. Sinks par putt still -5 (even on Rd) 5 back
May 29, 20223 yr Birdie on par 3 #13 for Spieth after a good tee shot (putt looked to be 15-18ft maybe?) -6 for Spieth now and 4 shots back Might have a shot at a playoff if Spieth somehow gets to -8 or -9 Edited May 29, 20223 yr by LTtxfan
May 29, 20223 yr Missed 11'7" putt for par on # 17 Spieth out of it now back to -6 and -1 today. Really had a shot to be in it late -- just a couple of loose shots, and 2 poor putts. 6 birdies and 5 bogeys Edited May 29, 20223 yr by LTtxfan
May 29, 20223 yr Another poor approach shot with wedge from the fairway on the 18th hole. 35ft putt uphill for birdie on #18... Spieth leaves it 4ft short AND OF COURSE SPIETH MISSES PAR PUTT!! 6 birdies and 6 bogeys #SpiethRollercoaster
May 29, 20223 yr So Spieth #8, #9, #10 all bogeys Then #17, #18 both bogeys Golf is crazy sometimes 😋
May 29, 20223 yr Beau Hossler continues struggles on the weekends... was -9 after 2 Rds, but now back to -2 for the tournament after 17 holes today Is currently 57th in FedEx Rankings

May 29, 20223 yr This is some shitty golf. It’s windy but there is zero shot making and crap putting.

May 29, 20223 yr Really impressed by the amount of people I see in the background watching golf with a beer in their hand without a cell phone.

May 29, 20223 yr When did Burns finish? 2 hours ago? Glad to see Colonial holding its own. Playoff at -9 is great.
May 29, 20223 yr Scottie had some awful birdie attempts today, and his par saves were the only reason he forced a playoff. Burns had a much deserved win today
May 29, 20223 yr What a putt Very disappointed Scheffler won’t be showing up to his sister-in-law’s wedding wearing this: and driving this: Edited May 29, 20223 yr by UTexasFight

My grandfather had a little fishing shack on Lake Fork, and you had to drive through Quinlan to get there. He’d be the best dressed guy with the nicest car at that wedding.
June 1, 20223 yr Quite honestly, meh. He's the only player out of 48 to fuss over. I don't think anyone will miss Phil, not so much for his past year, but mostly because he turned it in after his PGA win. Sergio? Westwood? I also don't get the beef these guys, particularly Phil, has with the PGA tour. Too much money going around to feel sorry for those guys. It was worse when the Doobie Brothers broke up, this is nothing.
June 1, 20223 yr DJ skipping the RBC Canadian open while being sponsored by RBC sounds about right. Admittedly, he should make more playing the LIV tour than RBC pays him, so I'm sure he gives no fucks.
June 1, 20223 yr I'm still waiting for the shoe to drop on Rickie Fowler. Dude's in danger of losing his card anyway. He'd be one of the youngest, most marketable players even if his game has been MIA for the better part of 5 years.

June 1, 20223 yr We think BDC would be in that event if he’s healthy? I know what he said but DJ said the same and he’s in it. It made sense for all the guys to pledge allegiance in February and then do whatever in June. Makes no sense for Phil not to do it. He’s burned bridges and is done being competitive here, he might as well take the guaranteed money over there. He can still play all the majors on his exemptions obviously.

June 1, 20223 yr What if DJ didn’t get the vaccine? He can’t then go play in Canada right? Seems like a distinct possibility. But the decision to play in London seems obviously bigger than just one event.
June 1, 20223 yr NY Post:The fallout from Dustin Johnson’s decision to defect to the Saudi-backed LIV Tour on Tuesday night started swiftly.RBC (Royal Bank of Canada), one of Johnson’s more notable sponsors, released a statement that hinted they were cutting ties with the 2020 Masters champ.“RBC is a proud partner of the PGA Tour. Our partnership is anchored with two world-class golf tournaments—the RBC Heritage and the RBC Canadian Open,” the statement read. “The PGA Tour has been clear about its intentions in accordance with its tournament regulations should a golfer choose to play in a tournament outside the tour, including the LIV Golf Invitational Series.“We were recently made aware that Dustin Johnson made the decision to play the LIV Golf Invitational Series opener. DJ has been a valued RBC team member since 2018. While we are extremely disappointed in his decision, we wish him well.”“Dustin’s been contemplating this for the past two years & decided it was in his & his family’s best interest to pursue it. He’s never had any issue w/ PGA TOUR & is grateful for all it’s given him but in the end felt this was too compelling to pass up,” Johnson’s agent, David Winkle, said in a statement.
