September 16, 20214 yr Thursday Night Fútbol Though not on the NFL Network, but rather Paramount+ (I presume), Thursday Night (in Europe) Fútbol starts back up tonight. In addition to the Europa League, I feel that we can throw the Europa Conference League in this thread as well, because I'd never even heard of it before 5 minutes ago. Not as many USMNT players are participating in the Europa League as are in the ECL, but tonight features DeAndre Yedlin and the Fighting Turks of Galatasaray (5 "A"s in that team name) as well as Konrad de la Fuente and the Fighting Beachcombers of Marseille's Crime Infested Industrial Port Area in separate matchups. NOTE: Both matches take place in the eastern bowels of Europe and will kickoff in the early time slot. Let the games begin! Edited September 16, 20214 yr by Napoleon
September 16, 20214 yr According to this there are 9 Europa league participants and 1 conference league
September 16, 20214 yr Also a quick time note, the Europa Conference League had a 10:30 Eastern Kickoff because of a game in Kazakhstan (10% of their land is in Europe, hence playing in that confederation).
September 16, 20214 yr Author Lokomotiv Moskow, down a man, scores a goal from the edge of the box, in the 89'... what an absolute failure by Marseille. Just awful. Let's see if Marseille can sneak one in as the game goes to 3 minutes of injury time. Wow. Konrad almost with a sneaky assist. "It's all happening now."
February 17, 20223 yr some great games. i'm watching the Golazo show on CBS Sports but may go to Paramount and watch Barca/Napoli.

February 24, 20223 yr Dortmund up 2-1 at Rangers. aggregate is now 5-4 Rangers. this is gettin' good.

April 14, 20223 yr They made it interesting, but in the end, Barca is out. Semis: RB Leipzig v Rangers West Ham v Frankfurt
April 14, 20223 yr Somehow I missed the fact that Braga tied up the match against Rangers. They are in OT right now. Braga is down 2 men.
April 15, 20223 yr 20 hours ago, Captain Ron said: Shout out to West Ham, winning on the road 3-0 today. Impressive. David Moyes knows what he is doing.
April 29, 20223 yr Yesterday they lost at home in the first leg of the semis 2-1. They gave up a goal in the first minute of the game. I think they can do it, but the road win is going to be hard. On the other side Leipzig won at home 1-0 against Rangers. That put Tyler Adams 90 minutes from the Europa League final.
May 6, 20223 yr West Ham was done the moment Cresswell got the straight red for DSOG. Bummed that Leipzig wasn't able to get it done. In the JJV circuit, Roma took out Leicester and Feyenoord beat Marseille.
May 18, 20223 yr I would pay a shitfuckton of money to be there right now. Partying it up in Spain with a bunch of my fellow drunken Scotsmen.
May 18, 20223 yr Frankfurt isn't sniffing any European soccer unless this win this. Rangers are already in the Champions League playoff, thought a win today would put them in the group stage.
May 18, 20223 yr Author 4 hours ago, Jive Turkey said: final is today. The total lack of vegetation in that video is borderline creepy. City planning one to two thousand years ago was not what it is today. That said, I would love to be there. Not sure who I would support. 1) EINTRACT: I was flatmates in Argentina for a couple of months about 15 years ago with a guy who now works for Eintract. 2) RANGERS: James Sands is on Rangers (though he never plays) and in addition to his being a Yank, my sister knows his mother.
May 18, 20223 yr 8 minutes ago, WBT said: Sands on a few minutes ago. What a save! Guessing he is not in the top 5 for a shootout.
May 18, 20223 yr Author The keeper’s save was amazing, but it would have been all-for-naught if that defender hadn’t headed the ball away… which was completely missed by the ref. Germans vs Brits… there has been a tendency to pick Der Germans in shootouts.
