April 4Apr 4 aggies just haven't gotten to the point that Moses or McMillian is going to be their next coach. I appreciate them thinking that they can pull OSUs Lutz but as much as "Lutz" and aggy belong together I don't think it will happen.

And we'll all have a big belly laugh. If he's looking for a better just below blueblood position, aggy ain't it. I apparently hadn’t clicked on this thread since this was a new post. Just want to say well divined by you.

We're paying him $2.4M and as much as I'd like to give him some time to succeed I wouldn't match a $3M or higher offer from aggy even if he gave us a chance to match because he did struggle this year. I couldn't find what his buyout is but we paid WKU $2 million for him, surely our buyout for him is at least that, and I'd take the money and let him go. It's also just a better job at this point. For all of their failures aggy unquestionably has more money and resources. Apparently you only have to win like 5 conference games to make the tourney from SEC. He's from Texas and has no real connection to Oklahoma. If he's the guy though aggy is likely gonna be pissed, means they struck out on everyone with established P5 success and hot up and comers. I'm torn how i'd feel if they hired Moser. It would be funny for ou to lose a coach to aggy but Moser isn't exactly lighting things up and mediocre ou is always entertaining. Lutz is safe, aggies are poor and his buyout (reported 6.75M) makes it a non-starter

April 4Apr 4 Damn, I wouldn't even counter, take the $6.75M, but as you said, it would probably prevent him from even getting an offer.
April 4Apr 4 I think names they should be looking at are Larry eustacy, Melvin Watkins, and Billy Clyde Gillespie. If any of them are still alive. Maybe Tony barone again also. Edited April 4Apr 4 by Pato del Muerto

April 5Apr 5 Only down by 13 with seven+ minutes to go. Not a terrible spot to be in if Madison turns it on and the rest do their jobs!
April 5Apr 5 Author Stylistically, Buckyball will be a very sharp turn from what TAMU was under Buzz.
April 5Apr 5 This smells a lot like the Tom Herman debacle. Go all in on your first choice only to be led on and then scramble to find a warm body.

April 5Apr 5 Just a stunningly amazing hire from aggy. It’s possible it could work out but landing on and hiring that dude is just… wow.

April 5Apr 5 I’m going to go against the grain and say this was a really good hire. This guy plays a 40 mins of hell style game that will let aggy go after super athletes who aren’t 4-5* type guys (who aren’t going to go there anyway).
April 5Apr 5 imagine going from “it’s chris beard 99% confirmed” to this guy in 2-3 days: this guy won 65% of his games at samford, which was his first job after coaching high school. this is *literally* unprecedented levels of aggie basketball misery. hilarious. Edited April 5Apr 5 by Derka
April 5Apr 5 These are the hires I love the most from aggy just for the lullzz on the texags podcast of them spinning it so hard to make the aggy dumb dumbs slurp up the “trust me this guy is gonna be so good” bs.

But five Chendall Weavers ain't walking through that door.

April 5Apr 5 From Jimbo hiring onward, who is on charge of A&M hiring? I can't think of a single good call hire they have made. Must have hired Dewey Cheatem & Howe to run the show
