finally a Timeout, forced by the end of the quarter. They will be fine after this, nerves need to be calmed everyone needs to chill and shit will be fine.
Still hard to score 80 only scoring 13 in the first quarter.

Winning is hard.

Why do we look so rattled? I really don't get it. We don't look confident at all.

Probably bc everyone on this team has watched us be TCU’s bitch. Very intimidated

TCU gets up sling forearms.

officials swallow their whistles.

what a shock

But when we block on a kick return it’s an automatic penalty

We should be up like 20-7.

why? TCU should have had a td on their first failed 3rd down.

As @immamac mentioned upthread, Sark hasn't been calling his best game thus far. He's been going away from the run at the most inopportune times and could have used a timeout to try to slow TCU's offense when Texas pass defense went invisible.

That fumble recovery really needed to be turned into 7.

Yeah, 8pts in missed opportunities.  Lucky first FG was good

I'm seeing the same lack of energy on the defense today as at Arkansas. Just very relaxed and slow to react.

This is worse. The defense actually came out and played hard against Arkansas. The gameplay was bad and they eventually wore out and quit with the outcome assured because of offensive ineptitude, but if you go back and watch you’ll see them bringing the wood and holding Arkansas to FGs in tough spots early. They’re straight sleepwalking right now.

Ok second quarter we need to put the crowd out of this game

It was out then we let them both the team and the crowd back in by continuously cutting off our own dicks.

Overshown's speed is often negated by his slow processing.

yeah. I think people are overrating just where he is going to fit at the next level.

so uhh... what's the current OL? Jones-Conner (or Angilau?) - Majors - Angilau (or Kerstetter?) - Karic (or Kerstetter?)....

does it really matter?

I don't understand why coaches keep moving Kerstetter away from RT where he's actually a good player. Hand put him at C, now we see him at LG.

Also 36 passing yards in 1Q is surprising. Gotta pick that up. A lot of that falls on OL

We aren't playing intimidated. We're playing stupid. Far more on D than O.

maybe the coaches knew Karic was an idiot

Overreact much? I see it as a positive sign they are trying to work him into the rotation.

That's being very generous to our play so far.

Bush pushed player into Horn bench on the kickoff.

We have a walk-on playing defensive end, contributing no pass rush and hurting us with stupid penalties. WTF

He’s not a smart man

So far I've liked what Ash was working on building last year better than PK, but it's early and PK needs to get his guys to stop making the small mistakes. More than anything we need a DL/LB who can pressure up front and close the gap to force mistakes from the QB. Something along the line of what Parsons has done for the Cowboys D that has taken a big leap with improved speed and his ability to pressure the QB.

Whitt making catches kinda makes me nervous, too. He should be automatic, but damn if he doesn't miss some easy ones.

Anyway, nice catch, Whitt.

He double catches some... One day it'll be a tip drill... Hopefully not today... Or next week.
