Gonna be an interesting post game PC.

Sark has built up a lot of good will, which has allowed him to run this program with more secrecy than normal. He was chippy with the press last week. He needs to take ownership of this pathetic offense. This is on him. Yes, Arch had an incredibly disastrous performance. But Sark's game planning and playcalling are dogshit, the O-line is a disaster, the body language overall on offense is fucking horrible.

"All Gas, No Brakes" is a laughable mantra. Rarely have we seen our offense firing on all cylinders or a style of play calling that backs it up.

Completely unacceptable. Own it and fix it, Sark.

Agree on all points. We consistently come out middling on offense. Doesn’t matter if it’s with an experienced offense full of talent like last season or a young, inexperienced, yet talented roster this season. I saw a stat last week that said we’ve scored touchdowns twice in the last 20 starting drives or so. That’s fucking pathetic.

It’s now clearly obvious that unless he’s an OC for a Hall of Fame coach, his offense leaves much to be desired. He’s slow to adjust if his original gameplan isn’t working (which is much more often than not). And his postgame comments today about his philosophy on not changing his 4th down play calling is maddening.

Everyone keeps holding on to hope that this offense will come out firing like we did in Tuscaloosa a few years ago, but sadly, that night has proven to be the exception, not the rule.

Maybe Sark is actually ass and needs to have a massive talent advantage to look good.

Ewers was just that good... we may never see another like him on the 40.

Texas went to the semifinals twice in a row. It seems ludicrous to think right now that Sark may be fundamentally flawed somehow. But….is he?

Last year actually resolidified my belief that Texas will never get to the mountaintop under Sark unless it's just 1.) An unbelieavbe amount of talent stacked on one team that can overcome coaching flaws; and/or 2.) A ridiculous, lightning in a bottle individual playoff run from the QB position ala Joe Flacco's Super Bowl run. He's been a great program builder but he continues to be mediocre as a pure football coach and I don't think he's likely to rip off 3-4 in a row against comparable talent.

I’ve said this since he was hired and nothing he’s done here has made me reconsider. I think our best chance was the four team playoff for those exact reasons.

The test will be if he modifies his staff and approach, particularly on offense. But we shouldn’t discount his program building. It’s been fantastic and is also necessary to win a title.

Sark is ass. He’s not winning anything here.

Well actually the vagina can be very very deceptive and can in fact hold a lot of sand.

He’s already won something.  Sorry.

In the history of college football, no system works, and no coach looks competent, with a QB who struggles to throw completions to open receivers.

Someone put up sarks record ba Lincoln Riley’s and Herman’s.   Two guys that we often laugh at.

sark struggles Vs top ten opponents and can’t develop qbs.  He lost to anyone with a pulse last year.  Mo, beating Clemson and asu is not a huge accomplishment

That’s a funny mantra as it seems like our offense is constantly killing clock when we have a decent sized lead.

thank God for PK at least

Remember when everyone was going crazy last season asking to put in Arch lol. Quinn looked like Tom Brady out there compared to this season.

DKR, Osborne, Wilkinson, Switzer all say hi. But your point is still valid.

Reposting again cause this belong here too:

Agreed on all accounts.

We are completely fucked. Our offense despite having multiple NFL draft picks at every position every year is vastly under delivering. Now we have a new QB that everyone is blaming for our issues like we did last year, ya know the one that was drafted by the NFL. That or the RBs or the OL, or the WRs. Hint, when these issues keep occurring on the offense with players who are fucking drafted from the 1st to 7th it ain't the fucking players. This offense is fucked and to make matters worse another 5* QB is now being blamed for ongoing issues all while Texas has been fielding the some of the top defenses in the nation.

We need a new offensive staff top to bottom and Sark has to completely step away from it or we are basically coached by a far worse version of Franklin and I don't want to be a shitty form of Pedo State.

unfortunately when coached by Ex-QBs there’s this “I’m smarter than everyone else” complex. It’s why championship coaches are frequently ex defensive players or ex offensive linemen. They heavily understand the importance of assignment laden and fundamental football. Where the QB tends to lean towards “I can outsmart or out scheme our deficiencies.” It rarely ever works. Football will always be about trench warfare. It’s why Big 12 teams would frequently get smacked when facing upper echelon SEC teams in the past.

Lol, but he's really pretty and has a great body. So a label signed him and continues to promote him as a great vocalist because sunk-cost fallacy and his songs produce a lot of revenue with other artist.

Saban would.

I'm not gonna fight you for him.  He's all yours.

So Sark thinks he is Ricky Berry in a slump and ready to break out. The reality in the red zone for the last 3 seasons proves he is this guy.

Well no fucking shit.

Now do it with the defense to at least be fair.

He’s not the defensive coordinator though. Anyone calling to fire sark is brain damaged. We just need a dedicated offensive coordinator. Sark is a great HC but he can’t be a great OC from the sidelines

Fire Sark the play caller
Fire Milwee
Hire QB coach/play caller
Let QB coach/play caller decide OL coach.

You’re right. Sark is doing well with our offense and we’ve had top offenses under him! They definitely haven’t been the weak spot of the team.

Offensive line development has clearly been suspect, so as insensitively as you put it, you may be right

The thing that frustrates me the most about Sark is he seems to think his offense is akin to the early 90 Cowboys. Where the defense can know what’s coming but they still can’t stop it.  I think he calls plays in the sense where, if y’all execute properly the play will be successful. Which is likely why he called all those zone running plays against UTEP. Trying to force the OL to be able to execute, yet the result was us watching them fall all over themselves.  I can’t honestly believe they are executing these plays in practice but maybe they are. But at this point I think there is plenty of game tape and over the next 2 weeks, a few positions should be open for competition. I know Sark treats these games as glorified scrimmages, but he really needs to call a friendly game for what the offense is capable of against Sam Houston so they can have something positive to build on going into SEC play.

Yeah, lots of offensive players should be told practice to earn the right to start or you will be replaced...

"Great" is debatable, but there's nobody I'd rather have from the pool of candidates right now.

Per BK...   Maybe to fix offense --  DUMB IT DOWN !!!

I got bad news if they thought what we just showed wasn't a dumbed down version of the offense
